We were super excited to stay in the Burro Inn from what we heard. Room was dirty, had 2 big dead spiders in 1 of the 2 beds[crazy]. The staff, especially everyone in the diner were really nice for sure......but

Upon leaving, I left 3 firshing poles in the room behind the door. I've called multiple times, left voicemail. Upon talking to someone, I was told I'd receive a call back. Its been 1 month and im guessing my $850 poles are being put to good use. Shame. My fault but no communication or honesty apparently

This place is a hidden gem! The diner is awesome! Food is amazing. All of the staff, specifically Bruce, Jason, Joshua,  Cheryl are amazing! We had some folks who decided to light fireworks against policy, both state and federal during a high fire time, and the staff handled it professionally. Im definitely coming back here every year!

Lower your expectations if you plan to stay here... whatever they are, just lower them. There is a nice cove where you can get an rv site right by the water, but be warned! The beach is first come first served, but everyone thinks they own the beach so be ready for a fist fight... or be ready for Bruce who is hyper aggressive about parking, but does nothing about the the thugs getting wasted and blasting curse words for 6 hours a night by the kids play area. Every employee here has a different version of what tge rules are.... none of them are consistent.

We stayed in the burro in motel... it was built in the 1960s and tge lights, refrigerators, stove, vents doors and windows are all 50+ years old and in terrible condition. The back doors don't open without a fight and the locks are so beat up they don't work without pliers. All of the walls have damage and are extremely dirty with food, blood and the wear and tear of an abusive relationship. The ceilings all have leaks and have been patched and painted 50 shades of off white. Overall its insulting that they call these remodeled.

The boat ramp was wide and nice for launching boats... no complaint, but it is extremely slippery and I watched 3 people slip and fall...

The marina didn't have basic things for boats like fuel injector cleaner or carb cleaner, or even ice some days... tgey sold me worms that were dead.

The best thing was the older lady who managed the Diner. She was very friendly and gave great service. ❤️

This place was so much fun for Memorial weekend. We had a beachfront rv site with family and friends all set up. The store had a good amount of things stocked and came in useful. The water and seeing the wild Burros was great. Will be back here again for sure!

I really wanted to enjoy my stay at Black Meadow Landing, but unfortunately it was a huge disappointment. The long road leading into the property is in terrible condition and feels completely unmanaged. By the time you finally arrive, you’re already frustrated from the drive alone.

The restaurant was almost always closed during our stay, which was extremely inconvenient considering how remote the location is. The staff was also consistently rude and unhelpful, making guests feel more like a burden than welcomed customers.

The hotel rooms were honestly disgusting — dirty, poorly maintained, and nowhere near what you would expect for the price. To top it off, there was donkey poop everywhere around the property, making it feel unsanitary… The management seriously needs to step up maintenance, cleanliness, customer service, and basic operations before I could ever recommend staying here.

My brothers and I have been visiting BML since the mid eighties and love every minute we stay here. During past visits, we’ve camped lakeside and stayed at the Burro Inn. This trip was the first time staying in the Park Model units. We really enjoyed that we had ourTwo Park Model units next to each other. We can’t wait to visit again! The only bummer was that the restaurant was closed during our stay. Other than that, everything was perfect. Thank you again!

I thought about staying here however never gave a card number and confirmed. I got a call today asking when I would arrive and I told the lady just that. I hear her typing and she says "I would charge your card but one isn't on file" very rudely as she was obviously mad. I literally JUST told yoy I did not confirm as I found another option. I thought about moving their after this month was over but definitely not at this point. I would not want to stay where management(I'm assuming she was management) is so rude. Beware if you like receiving decent customer service.

We were there 12 people for 3 days, and had the most fun!!!
The crew was absolutely great and helpful
The rooms were clean and cool
Lots of activities to do around - jet ski, wakeboard, boat you can rent and more

And the location … wow! The most amazing view to wake up to, spent all day at the lake and had the best time!!

We will definitely come back once a year

We rented RVs and went for a long weekend vacation in Black Meadow Landing resort. It was the best time we had together! Such an amazing experience, and such a beautiful, peaceful and private place. The staff were very helpful and helped us with everything we needed, and always with a smile. We will be back, no question! Highly recommended

We had a great time as 2 adults and a dog staying in the motel for 2 nights Labor Day Weekend 2025.  Incredible views, river access, and everything we needed for a simple, relaxing weekend right on the property. Basic, comfortable room-bathroom-kitchenette. Stayed within the property and had everything we needed. We swam in the river, watched the boats and jet skis, ate a few meals at the diner, walked the property, enjoyed the views, observed the burros and their babies strolling the property. It was great having the convenience store on the premises for snacks, toiletries, and last minute needs. All of the staff members we met were helpful and friendly. We hope to return.

Been staying there for years ..This year 2025 they double their rates with new Owner..What a joke..the docks you can't even use due to nails sticking out..Long dust pot holed road to get to..Just crazy..Their is literally no one that stays here due to conditions..We usually stay up top and last summer only the workers were staying up there..I hope to hear back from the New Management with some ridiculous reason of doubling their pricing..You can stay at Havasau Springs for allmost same price and it's 5 star..They will go BANKRUPT with new Management..

We go to BML at least 1 weekend a month and have always had an amazing time! we stay in the park models, which are older style however very roomy, AC works great and feels like our home away from home! However, they recently got new owners who have made some minor changes, NOT an issue with me BUT some people who dont like the changes, i have noticed have been very rude to the front office staff which is unacceptable. The staff is very sweet, very professional and caring for all their guests! The staff makes us feel like family, the location is perfect for families or someone who wants to relax in a personal paradise. I highly recommend to all!
