I recently had my CELL CAM stolen from the woods in Black River Falls. To my surprise when I tracked my cell cam GPS, it showed up here at Castle Mound Campground, in the garage building. I have last photos of this person who stole my cell cam and GPS. I've never camped here, but this person's action is enough to persuade me why I shouldn't camp here. What kind of people are the WI DNR Parks hiring?. The last photo was from another cell cam showing his car, which was also stolen the same day.

Beautiful campground if you stay inside all the time. Mosquitos are brutal and centronella dont help or repellant either they enjoy it i believe. And it's all day and calms a little at night only. Had to leave early due to the thousands of these pesky bugs.

Two separate men helped me book this camping spot via phone. Both gentlemen! The Mosquitos were raising hell but that's life. Sorry bucko. Beautiful morning walk. Got lost on my way in because I felt I had better judgement than the GPS. Had Beer Barrel Polka blasting on the box. Anyhow, found my way in. You can get a site via smart phone but I did it old school. Thanks Wisconsin you sure was kind to me.

Site is pack gravel. It is level o.n the site 3 where we camped on a Class A motorhome. Has enough for 34 foot motrhome and a GMC Canyon. Has 50A elec but no water and sewer. There is watrr and dump station restrooms and showers were clean. Has to buy the vehicle permit to camp.

Came here to go to the ATV trails, don't officer came and told us we were not allowed to have ATVs in the campground. Didn't state that anywhere when we booked it.

Hiking was perfect! Campground was ok. A little more primitive than we are use to. Our first site was just off the road. The ranger did let us move on day 2 to a much better site.

This is a nice place to camp. It has shaded campsites but, it is Sandy and sometimes the mosquitoes are a little tough.

Super shaded, friendly, hidden gem of a campground with limited electric sites. Plenty of activities nearby or enjoy the hiking trail and bike trail right on the grounds. We went tubing out of Lost Falls Campground which was a very pleasant float for 4 hours. Wazee Lake is another nice place to visit nearby. Thanks for a great experience! ♡♡

Sites are too close. Not enough privacy. Need more electric sites.

After seeing the reviews we were very excited about this park. Sadly, the mosquitoes were so bad our family could not go outside for a single moment. My teens could not hike, bike, or even walk to the bathroom, we had to drive them! I have never seen mosquitoes that were so bad! I really wanted to love this place as they have nice restrooms, clean showers, and friendly park staff, however until mosquitoes are under control I strongly suggest NOT staying here. Once this is under control, the campground would be quite nice. I do not think there are any full hook up sites but the stations are close by and clean.
