Blake Ranch RV Park
Overview
Blake Ranch RV Park offers a peaceful retreat for travelers navigating the vast landscapes of Northern Arizona. Unlike the bustling city centers, this park provides a quiet rural atmosphere that serves as a welcome respite from the road. Located at a higher elevation of approximately 3,500 feet, visitors often enjoy more moderate temperatures compared to the lower desert floor. It is well-regarded for its clean facilities and friendly, welcoming environment for both seasonal guests and those just passing through for a single night.
Location & Surroundings
Situated just east of Kingman, the park is conveniently positioned off Interstate 40 at exit 66. The surrounding landscape features the rugged beauty of the high desert, offering sweeping views of the nearby mountain ranges. This location provides the perfect balance of easy highway access without the intrusive noise typically associated with roadside stops. Guests can enjoy wide-open skies and the natural serenity of the Arizona high country, making it a scenic transition point between the Mojave and Sonoran deserts.
Amenities & Park Features
The park is designed with modern conveniences in mind, featuring spacious pull-thru sites that are ideal for big rigs and long trailers. Each site offers full hookups, including 30 and 50 amp service, Wi-Fi, and cable television. One of the most unique features is the on-site horse motel, which provides secure stalls for travelers moving with livestock. Additionally, the park includes a large, fenced dog park for pet exercise, exceptionally clean private showers, and a well-stocked general store filled with Southwestern gifts.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
Explorers will find the park an excellent home base for visiting Historic Route 66 in downtown Kingman, where vintage diners and museums celebrate the Mother Road. For those seeking outdoor adventure, the Hualapai Mountain Park offers hiking trails and cooler pine forests just a short drive away. Further excursions can take travelers to the Grand Canyon West Rim or the quirky mining town of Oatman, where wild burros roam the streets. Its central location makes it easy to experience the highlights of Mohave County.
Who This Park Is Best For
This destination is an ideal fit for cross-country travelers looking for a reliable and secure place to rest their wheels. Because of its specialized facilities, it is uniquely suited for equestrian travelers who need safe boarding for their horses. It also appeals to those who prefer a relaxed, low-key vibe over a crowded resort-style atmosphere. Whether you are driving a massive motorhome or a small camper van, the park’s straightforward layout and quiet environment make it a top choice for a stress-free Arizona stopover.

Been here a week so far and WiFi is sketch! We have had it off and on for a couple days of the week we have been here. If u want quiet and peaceful it’s good but if u require WiFi don’t bother. Laundry is ok nothing to brag about. Half the washers and dryers r out of order.

We pulled in for an overnight while on the road, Easy pull in site for our larger Travel trailer, spacious spots, nice dog area. Has a small area with some snacks and drinks in the office. I would definitely stay here again.

If you like going without water for up up to 3 days at a time because the owner refuses to put more than a bandaid on the water system. Stay here. If you like mice infestation into your camper that will take you weeks to get rid of stay here. They recently changed all their electric meters to smart meters and the bills jumped 30-40% per month. I was awakened around 4 am to an explosion. Our neighbors electrical hookup melted down, never tripped the breaker on the meter and in the process melted through the tires on his RV. That was the explosion we heard. If you like being lied (one person says one thing and another says something different). Stay here. Or to or not being able to receive mail at the place you are a long term resident. Stay here. Their laundry and shower facilities are dated, dingy and dirty. A large number of the machines are broken. They advertise they are highly rated with good Sam Club but my investigation revealed that Good Sam has no affiliation with them at all. If you like listening to trucks and refrigeration trailers all night stay here. There are better, quieter, honest places you can stay. My recommendation is you do more research, drive right on past this place.

When we got there, there was someone in our assigned spot. We had made our reservations two months prior to our visit. They wanted to put us in the horse camping section but we have a 45 foot motorhome and it isn't good at tight turns. The woman at the front reception kept trying to see if she could move someone else who hadn't arrived yet who had a smaller rig than we had. It turned out that the people in our spot finally left (we arrived there after 3p.m. they should have left at checkout or close afterwards) so we got in our spot. We had to unhook our towed to fit. The site was nice and level, though. The stay started out stressful, but ended up good. We were prepared to just go find a truck stop somewhere for the night but the lady at the front desk really wanted to help us. We do appreciate her for that. I feel someone should have gone to the people in our spot and told them they needed to leave since that was their checkout day, but that never happened. The security guy really went all out to help us. He walked to check out the horse section with my husband so he understood why we wouldn't be able to go to that part (very small, tight turns and a little berm our rig would have had to drive over. We are very low riding). He also went to check out our spot before we drove back to it again to make sure it was clean for us. We do appreciate the effort from both employees. Thank you! The park was clean and felt safe.

We love this park. Blake Ranch RV & Horse motel is always clean and well maintained. The fenced pet area is very nice, clean and gives my 3 dogs a chance to sniff around and do their business before a little walk through the rest of the park. Front desk folks are friendly & helpful. We'll continue to use this as our first stop out of California for every trip! Been stopping here for several years. No photos this time. Perhaps on the next trip.
