We stayed a week at the Blue Heron Campground and really enjoyed our vacation. Michael and Sheryl, the camp staff took made sure we had everything we needed. The rooms were clean and had an amazing view right on the river. Michael took us a river 12 miles with a canoe and we floated the river twice catching many many fish. We will definitely be back. If you’re looking for the best trout fishing experience in Cotter, Arkansas, look no further than Blaine’s Trout Fishing Guide Service. This trip exceeded every expectation. My wife unexpectedly got sick before our trip, but Blaine didn’t hesitate to take me out on a solo adventure. Instead of just sticking to the usual spots, he showed me some incredible backwater creeks and less crowded parts of the White River that I never would have found on my own. It made the day an true adventure. The fishing was phenomenal—we landed around 30 trout throughout the day! One of the most unforgettable moments came when I accidentally hooked a giant spoonbill. It wasn’t what we were targeting, but it made for an exciting battle and a memory I’ll be talking about for years. Between catching fish, Blaine shared some incredible stories about the legendary giant brown trout that have come out of the river. His knowledge of the water, the fish, and the history of the area made the entire experience even more enjoyable. What impressed me most, though, was learning about Blaine’s dedication to active-duty military members and veterans. The work he does to honor those who have served is truly inspiring, and it’s especially meaningful as our nation celebrates its 250th anniversary. Supporting someone who gives so much back to those who have sacrificed for our country makes booking a trip with Blaine an easy decision. If you want an outstanding guide, great company, incredible fishing, and an unforgettable day on the water, I can’t recommend Blaine’s Trout Fishing Guide Service highly enough. I’ll definitely be back! The campground is amazing, too. The picturesque scenery is absolutely stunning. The guests have all been friendly and, quiet and very respectful. The trout fishing from the bank is awesome, too!

First let me say that " Sheryl and Michael are awesome"! They went above and beyond for us at every opportunity. The RV park is very well maintained, a beautiful setting and quiet evenings. We stayed here from March through July 2026 while looking for a home in Bull Shoals. We found the house of our dreams there, and we could not be happier. Thank you, Sheryl and Michael. This is now one of our favorite RV resorts! We met up with family here, as it was centrally located for us, and the Trout fishing can’t be beat. It is super dog friendly, which is much appreciated when we travel with our Doberman and Shih-tzu. The grounds are meticulously maintained, and the manager is more than accommodating. Thank you for offering an amazing RV experience, and we will certainly be back!

Good spot. We had our camper We used their bathrooms and found them clean and the shower well kept. They were air conditioned and bug free (it matters). They had a wedding while we were there which i wasn’t sure how that would go but it was off to the edge and no big deal. The trash facilities are at the edge so no big issues. No critter issues. It rained but it’s well maintained so no mud issues. Ample wood to buy for campfires Lots of things that go wrong at other camp sites they had covered. Power and water were steady. There is no camp store but there is a grocery store near and several c-stores local. Lots of hiking and canoeing around. Good place.

We just finished spending a month at the Blue Heron Campground and Resort. It was absolutely fantastic! Michael, Sheryl and Paul do a great job keeping the campground and facilities in immaculate shape. They work well as a team and are very knowledgeable about the area. They went out of their way to ensure that all our needs were met and questions answered. Their location on the White River meant we just feet away from some of the best trout fishing in the country. In addition to the fishing we enjoyed a month of exploring the arts, crafts, festivals, caverns, lakes and excellent dining in the area. Our stay was very affordable and we'll definitely be back next year! Thanks again Michael, Sheryl and Paul for a wonderful stay! Rich Wallace

This will be the longest review I've ever done because there is so much good to say. Chris was very responsive and helpful from the start. We have rented prolly 100 airb&b, VRBO and others and the overall service, attention to detail and hospitality was top notch. We were blown away upon arrival to see the cabin was in immaculate condition. squeaky clean from front to back. very nice furniture and bed. what a view!!! just that alone was well worth the price. you have a view from the bottom porch, the top deck and inside the cabin. yes even inside. Mike the park host was so friendly and attentive to everyone. This cabin and owner is a 12 out of 10 I promise. Some started they didn't realize it was in an RV park but we camp alot and it's a great park with some of the best spots I've seen. Electric, water and sewer options with concrete slab. Some waterfront. Eat at Gastons if you get a chance. It's a brunch buffet that's unbelievable. Thank you Chris and we will be back many times!!

This is easily the most beautiful camping spot in Cotter, Arkansas. Spent two nights tent camping right on the White River. The price was more than fair (less than all the others we looked at) and the upkeep of this campground was amazing. The staff was friendly and very welcoming, I accidentally parked in a place I shouldn’t have and i was informed with pleasant conversation by the end I didn’t remember doing anything wrong. I will definitely be returning and recommending this to everyone I know. Thanks for a great weekend.

Caretaker Michael did a good job registering us late one evening. We met the next day working hard but he took the time to talk and was a great 5 day host. Great personality and had everything looking great. Cheryl was camp manager and welcomed us as we toured the facilities. Wonderful home like hospitality and We saw her each day keeping everything clean, in order and looking good. Campground had a very Safe feel. Beautiful location right on the River. We would RETURN IN A HEARTBEAT !!

This is our second time camping at Blue Heron Campground Resot and we loved it. The sites are a great size and really level. Hookups are close and the internet works great. Nice picnic tables at all sites and cleaned out fire rings. We love being by the river and watching everyone fish. It’s quiet, clean and has all the amenities.

Wonderful stay here in our camper right on the river! Michael & Sheryl were extremely friendly & nice upon arrival and throughout our stay. Loved the spacious concrete pad with built in fire pit & Adirondack chairs. We will definitely be back!

We couldn’t love this campground more! The riverfront spots are absolutely dreamy and couldn’t ask for better customer service than Sheryl and Micheal. They are accommodating & friendly. We’re already repeat campers and can’t wait until our next trip back.

We love traveling to the White River. It's became an annual destination for us. When we go, we always stay at the Blue Heron. The campground is meticulously manicured, and the staff are great. Short drives to the Buffalo, Crooked Creek, and Norfork make for amazing fishing beyond the world-famous White River. Spend a day in Branson, MO. Regardless of your plans the folks at the Blue Heron will make your time amazing.

This was our second time staying here and we absolutely love it! It’s become to feel like home! Bathrooms are SO nice and clean. The campground is so well kept. Management is so nice, helpful and just all around wonderful! I hope they might put a pool or something in at some point for the kids being that the White River is too cold, but overall we absolutely love it here! When they do want to swim, we just take a short drive down to the Big Spring in downtown Cotter. My mother-in-law and her husband stayed in one of the lofts right beside us and it was darling!

Great location and grounds! Scenic and peaceful with easy White River access. Cool breezes off the river were awesome! The park is well maintained and clean with bathrooms and shower access. Michael and Cheryl are top notch in welcoming campers and making sure everyone is enjoying their stay. We will be back and probably bring others!

Everything is as advertised. We loved our 4 nights in cabin 1 on the river front. Everything is clean, and well maintained. The staff is easy to contact, and quick to help. Everything we needed was there. We will be back!
