We love this campground, the sites are all in the woods, very big, some more open, some more private. It’s located among tall spruce and pine trees, nice trails to hike, not too many though. And a beautiful Blue lake with a nice beach and swimming area.

Stayed for just a day and a night, the beach is very convenient and good for small children. The office and maintenance staffs are kind and hard working to keep the place nice and clean. There is a change room close to the beach but looks like a run down house. If it gets renovated that would be great and convenience for families.

Blue Lake Provincial Park is a great spot to unwind with family and friends. The clear blue waters, scenic trails, and peaceful surroundings make it ideal for a weekend escape. Enjoy swimming, kayaking, canoeing, or just relaxing by the lake. The campsites are well-maintained, and there’s plenty of space for outdoor fun. A wonderful place for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike!

Beautiful lake. The water is clean and clear, warm, but not to warm campsites are large and most come with two picnic tables. The beach is probably about 800 m long and thick sand.

- Visited in the first week of September and stayed for 3 days. - There were no mosquitoes during this period. - The camping sites were well-maintained and clean. - It gets very dark at night, but the security personnel patrol the area throughout the night. - There was no disturbance. - The lake was very clean, ideal for swimming, kayaking, and other activities. - It’s safe for kids. - The trails were enjoyable as well. ***The only issue was that some bathrooms were out of order, and the ones available would quickly get blocked. It was difficult to even stand nearby due to the smell. However, the showers were good.***

Tent camped at Blue Lake PP for my first time during the dates of July 4-7, 2024. The campground is large and has lots of electric sites for RVs and trailers but not as many basic sites for tents. Some sites had more privacy than others but all of the sites were nicely treed. Pros: - Blue Lake is beautiful and clear and great for swimming. It has a soft sandy bottom and was shallow for a ways out before getting deeper. - Some pretty looking trails in the park (though the mosquitoes were too vicious to enjoy them unfortunately). - Modern shower building and the showers are free! Water pressure was low but it was nice to feel clean after applying sunscreen and bug spray all day. - Super dry firewood at the park office was great for having raging fires in the evening. Only $10.50 a bag. - Free bags of ice at the park office for the cooler! - The sunsets from the beach were so pretty! Cons: - Some of the modern washroom buildings were out of order and locked with no explanation as to why. - Beach could get pretty busy and was very kid-friendly with lots of play structures. Not the place if you’re looking for peace and quiet. - Outhouses were old and smelly. On the plus side, they did have a small sink and soap and a solar light for going in the dark. I’d like to revisit the park in the spring or fall before/after the bugs get so bad in order to enjoy more of the trails next time!
