Fantastic water view and mountains on the back. We were here on June 10 while we were on our way to east coast, and chose to stay overnight again on August 19 while we were traveling on Highway 50 backing to California. People are very kind. The shower room is really clean.

My family and I have been going there every year for a long time. The owners are so nice and do everything they can to make our stay so enjoyable! The cabins are very comfortable and clean. The view cannot be beat! It’s one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been to. Fifteen of us went this summer and rented four cabins. The kids love the game room and playground. It’s always fun to rent a pontoon nearby and spend the day on the lake. We always look forward to returning! I highly recommend vacationing here!

Hi everyone, My friends and I came to " Blue Mesa Outpost" to enjoy a fun and relaxing long weekend. Our stay was AMAZING! Upon arrival, we followed the directions that were emailed to us, simple and easy check in. Steve (owner) was helpful and professional. What I appreciated the most was how safe the area is because of his presence. The entire area is exceptionally well maintained including where you can use the facilities. (There’s also recycling ! Woohoo!) If you are looking for a reset guys, this is the perfect place! We went paddle boarding, relaxed on the water during the day. Did all the camping things. Including getting to know our neighbors they shared their traveling experiences, and spoke well about “ Blue Mesa Outpost”. I hope to return and make more memories.

We just spent our week long family vacation in the cabins at the Blue Mesa Outpost. We had a fantastic time with the most beautiful views of the lake, surrounding mountains and abundant wildlife. My only regret is I forgot to pack my binoculars. All water sports are available at the marina, paddle boards, kayaks/boat rentals and the fishing is fantastic. We spent everyday on the water, boating, fishing, jet skiing and swimming . The cabins were very clean, updated, comfortable and the amenities exceeded our needs. We cooked all our meals on the campfire, outside grill and inside stove. A separate bedroom provides privacy and the bathroom shower felt great after a day on the lake. Children were very much entertained by the available play ground, game room and DVD's. The owners keep the grounds clean and well maintained. The owner Steve is kind, helpful and entertaining. We very much appreciated his attention to our comfort and enjoyed his conversation and interesting stories. Steve is very friendly and accommodating to all adults and children. Thank you very much Steve for a wonderful time, we will be staying again and as often as possible. Linda, Milan and family

Great for blue Mesa fishing! Right above the lake fork marina, super convenient. Has its own little shop so makes last minute forgotten groceries easy. Beautiful quaint cabins with everything you need to cook. And super clean!! Amazing views!! Loved every second of our stay.

We have stayed at Blue Mesa Outpost twice now. Once in August 2021 and again in September 2021. The views are spectacular, and the RV sites are easy to access. After dark it is quite and peaceful. We had no issues with the management and found them to be friendly and helpful. We will stay there again.

Stayer be warned. Read the reviews. The owner is something else. He called the sheriff, threatened to call the sheriff, and threatened to kick people out of the campground to numerous groups, including ours, staying at the campground while we were there. He was chasing people down in a golf cart for minor things, going off and recording everyone. Again, read the reviews and you'll find the common denominator. Don't step a toe out of line if you choose to stay here. Steve absolutely put a damper on our trip and made things super uncomfortable. If he decides you've broken any rules he also won't sell anything to you from the store, so be prepared for that. The campsites themselves were covered in thorny weeds and yellow jackets. Numerous people in our group were stung.

I stayed there for two weeks in August 2021. The campground was clean and quiet, the utilities worked perfectly and the owners were extremely friendly. It’s a small campground so there isn’t a lot of traffic to deal with. After 8pm I would have thought I was the only one there, it was THAT quiet at night. It’s a 30 second drive to the lake and the views of the lake were great. They’re very dog friendly as well. I highly recommend this campground for anyone who is looking to stay in the area!

Steve and Kelly were great hosts. The park is clean and well cared for. Great amenities including small store, laundry, propane fill and exchange. and game room. I am definitely coming back.

My husband and I took our Chinook through southern Colorado in early June, not particularly looking for places to return to, however that changed when we stayed at Blue Mesa Outpost for 3 nights. Even with the Blue Mesa Reservoir water level lower than usual, the views were spectacular. With the breeze up on the hill at the Outpost, we never needed our A/C. But the most pleasant part of our 3 relaxing days were the hosts, Kelly and Steve. Friendly, accommodating, and there for anything we needed. They even let us change to another available site for a better view after the first night. It is now in our travel journal as a "must return" entry. Thank you so much Kelly and Steve!!
