Brookville Lake

Brookville Lake is a reservoir located in the southeastern part of Indiana, near the town of Brookville. It is the largest lake in the state, covering an area of 8,800 acres. The lake was created in the early 1950s by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as part of the Brookville Lake Project. The lake is a popular destination for fishing, boating, camping, and other outdoor activities. It is home to a variety of fish species, including largemouth bass, bluegill, crappie, catfish, and walleye. The lake is also a popular spot for bird watching, with a variety of waterfowl and other birds making their home in the area.
