What a place  !!!!!!
Clean State Park with lots of space for RVer's and Camper's. On the Colorado River with beautiful clean sandy beaches. Great for day use or overnight as well.  The views are extremely beautiful and the facilities are cleaned daily.
Recreational activities are at your disposal.

I think this place gets to much crowded. People don’t respect any camping rules. Playing music and having loud conversations to 1 AM. Boats and water jets are loud and it is going on from. 7 AM to 10 PM.A bar across the river is playing music so loud that you can feel you are there
A few nice beaches and a dog park.
The only time when they call security or police is If they see the dog off leash.

Wow! Right on the Colorado River. Find a bearded palm and set your chairs out under it, natural shade all day. So relaxing! Watch the boats go by! Beautiful state park, camground is gorgeous, the staff first class. Awesome gift shop in case you need more memories. We loved our time here.

Staff very friendly. Advid hiker. Took yellow trail (6 mile rd trip) too much up and down. Lots of " stairs" as opposed to sloped trails. Found hard on joints. Some good lookout points.

Buckskin Mountain State Park exceeded my expectations in every way. The customer service alone deserves five stars — the staff was friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming from the moment we arrived. They were knowledgeable about the park and made check-in smooth and easy, which really set the tone for the whole visit.
The views are absolutely stunning. Sitting right along the Colorado River with mountains all around, it’s one of those places where every direction looks like a postcard. Sunrise and sunset here are unreal.
The amenities are also top-notch. The campsites are clean and well laid out, the restrooms and showers are maintained nicely, and the river access, beach areas, and boat launch make it perfect whether you want to relax or be active. It feels organized, safe, and comfortable without losing that natural outdoor vibe.
If you want a park with beautiful scenery, great facilities, and staff that truly care about visitors, Buckskin Mountain State Park is a must-visit. I’d come back in a heartbeat.

I stayed at Buckskin Mountain State Park from December 26 to December 28 and camped in site BSM-004. The campground sits right along the Colorado River, and the setting is one of the best parts of staying here. The park itself is beautiful, with water views, open space, and a relaxed pace that makes it easy to settle in. From the moment we arrived, the campground employees were friendly and welcoming, which set a positive tone for the stay.

Our site was clean, well maintained, and large enough to comfortably accommodate our 32-foot RV along with our Jeep. The site had a bit of privacy thanks to trees and spacing, which helped it feel less like a parking lot and more like an actual campsite. We had water and 50-amp electric service, both of which worked without any issues. There was no sewer hookup at the site, but the dump station was conveniently located within the campground and easy to use.

The park also has a small store for basic needs and a garden area that’s nice to walk through if you want to stretch your legs without leaving the campground. Overall, this was a very enjoyable stay in a well-run park with a great riverfront location. This campground is an excellent choice for RVers looking for a clean, spacious site, friendly staff, and a scenic place to relax along the Colorado River, and I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Awesome state park right on the Colorado river. We stayed 2 nights and had a great time. Tiffany at the ranger station that does check in was wonderful and very accommodating. Janette at the store was an absolute sweet heart. If you are traveling with kids go into the ranger station or store to get the junior ranger activity booklet. After the kids complete it they can pick up a badge at the ranger station. Neat activity for the kids and keeps them busy for a bit. Park was well maintained. Restrooms and showers were clean. Boat ramp is closed due to construction. Good hiking trails.  We will be coming back to visit.

Very pretty area, great for tent or RV camping. If you're camping read the info on the site you choose as to avoid the water reclamation sites.

Awesome place. Downside, the boat ramp is inoperable; forcing a drive to another state park near by.

The mountains in Tucson are absolutely stunning. The drive up was super easy, and once we got to the top, it felt like a completely different world so peaceful and refreshing. It was the perfect escape from the Tucson heat. The only downside was that most of the shops were closed due to the Fourth of July, but other than that, it was a really nice little getaway spot.

Beautiful state park with nice beaches. Lots of hiking trails. Close to Parker strip. Campground is nice. Some sites have FHU. Most are electric and water. Lots of space between sites. Boat ramp is closed! Nice dog park inside.  Dump station has 2 sides

Beautiful park on the Colorado River. Friendly staff, and VERY well-maintained. Small swimming beach, lots of serviced RV spots, and some very nice tent sites by the river. Small store with treats and souvenirs. And check out the educational desert garden and the desert tortoise habitat. Firewood available for sale here.
