Very nice campground. We stayed in the layered addition overlooking Lake Superior - site 3B - w,s&e. You can either pull in or back in. Hookups on both did. $65/night. Very clean bath area. Paved walkway to the lake. Beach at the lake. Every site in this section has a great view of the lake. Right off hwy 61, close to gas & restaurants

Our site was amazing. Trees and no neighbors. Rest of the campground is like an open field parking lot. Not my style. Worst part is they allow mowing and weeding while a site is occupied. Never in 6 years of camping have I seen that. Came super close to our screen tent and camper. No respect for your property.. Upside is full hook up and close to all of the north shore sites to see.

Don't come here if you are camping in a tent, save your money and go somewhere else. We slept at the maple campsite and we right right next to 2 busy streets, we could hear cars all night. Also pictures make you believe you will have semi privacy.... there is none all the sites are grouped together. Fire pits have no grates, roots everywhere and some long metal pipe running along the whole site. Only plus was the bathrooms but even they were a walk to get to

We stayed in site #75 with full hook-ups. Easily fit our 38 ft 5th wheel with minimal difficulty backing in. Sites are large enough that you're not totally stacked on your neighbors. Quiet campground! Many sites had a dog (or several) and there wasn't any barking at night. There is lots of trails down to the local beach for playing in the water and hunting for agates. There is a new bike/ walking path along the highway that is easily accessible from the campground. The shower/ bath houses were clean. It's a quick zip into town for any forgotten items or groceries. Head on down to Agate Beach and watch the ore ships come in!! This is a nice, clean campground that is a short distance to Betty's Pies, Gooseberry Falls, Split Rick lighthouse, and Black Sand Beach. It's about a 40ish min drive to Duluth.

Lush area for setting up tents, fire pit and picnic table at each site. Close access to enjoy Lake Superior. Playground for small children with some swings and a slide. Clean bathroom that is heated with two showers and bathrooms stalls. Wood and ice sold on site.
