Very nice campground. We stayed in the layered addition overlooking Lake Superior - site 3B - w,s&e. You can either pull in or back in. Hookups on both did. $65/night. Very clean bath area. Paved walkway to the lake. Beach at the lake. Every site in this section has a great view of the lake. Right off hwy 61, close to gas & restaurants

Our site was amazing. Trees and no neighbors. Rest of the campground is like an open field parking lot. Not my style. Worst part is they allow mowing and weeding while a site is occupied. Never in 6 years of camping have I seen that. Came super close to our screen tent and camper. No respect for your property.. Upside is full hook up and close to all of the north shore sites to see.

Don't come here if you are camping in a tent, save your money and go somewhere else. We slept at the maple campsite and we right right next to 2 busy streets, we could hear cars all night. Also pictures make you believe you will have semi privacy.... there is none all the sites are grouped together. Fire pits have no grates, roots everywhere and some long metal pipe running along the whole site. Only plus was the bathrooms but even they were a walk to get to

We stayed in site #75 with full hook-ups. Easily fit our 38 ft 5th wheel with minimal difficulty backing in. Sites are large enough that you're not totally stacked on your neighbors. Quiet campground! Many sites had a dog (or several) and there wasn't any barking at night. There is lots of trails down to the local beach for playing in the water and hunting for agates. There is a new bike/ walking path along the highway that is easily accessible from the campground. The shower/ bath houses were clean. It's a quick zip into town for any forgotten items or groceries. Head on down to Agate Beach and watch the ore ships come in!! This is a nice, clean campground that is a short distance to Betty's Pies, Gooseberry Falls, Split Rick lighthouse, and Black Sand Beach. It's about a 40ish min drive to Duluth.

Lush area for setting up tents, fire pit and picnic table at each site. Close access to enjoy Lake Superior. Playground for small children with some swings and a slide. Clean bathroom that is heated with two showers and bathrooms stalls. Wood and ice sold on site.

I fell in love with this campgrounds last year. So much so that I swung by to see my special site when on the shore this year even when staying in a hotel elsewhere. The staff here were so kind, the utilities and bathrooms were well kept, the prices are so affordable, and the view is amazing. This will be a go to site for me for life. Thank you for an amazing stay!

Nice campground with clean bathrooms and showers. The tent site I was staying at (willow) was not the best. Was right under a street light, cars driving by, be sure to park your car in front of your tent. The view in the morning made up for it though!

This is a beautiful Campground! The rates are reasonable. We had a nice big campsite. The campground is clean and quiet! We definitely will be coming back next year

The campsites are pretty close together, but considering how popular the area is, it doesn’t surprise me. A pretty bad storm came through the second of three nights we had reserved and we weren’t allowed to stay in our tent for safety reasons. Katie, one of the employees, gave us a refund for that night and relocated us to a spot that happened to be right along the water. It was beautiful! Great experience overall.

Its in a perfect area to see the moon set and the sun rise off Lake superior... but I feel the they need to move the park for customers privacy .. my tent is right beside the park full of happy ... but loud kids... which is fine.. I love happy kids.. but maybe put it beside the camp. Not in the middle.
