We enjoyed every minute of our stay at the resort. We had a 4 night cabin stay just 4 days before the flood. The staff was very friendly and the cabins were clean, comfortable, and nice. Our prayers are with the staff and all the people impacted by the flood. There are so many great losses ! God bless

When I hear the word, "resort," it makes me think of something kind of fancy. This isn't fancy. I'm starting to realize the word "resort" just means full hook ups. The river is about a quarter mile away and the river bank is raw/ undeveloped. The picnic tables are in need of replacing, The pool is teeny tiny, the grass needed mowing and camping spots were right ON TOP of each other. But it was clean and service was polite.

Good river access, modern cabins, very clean. Loft area in cabin is only for kids, not adults. Tent camping allowed near river, not crowded together, port-a-cans in the area. RV area is pretty tight. Only public restroom/bath house is located up the steep hill near the office. Beautiful grounds for fishing, swimming, walking. Lots of shade. Dependable river flow. Pet friendly.

We had an amazing getaway over Memorial Day weekend. There was a bit of noise outside on Saturday night, but it was otherwise quiet and peaceful. It is a great place to vacation with well-behaved dogs.

HTR Texas Hill Country RV Resort May 2025 We truly enjoyed our stay at HTR Texas Hill Country RV Resort. From the moment we pulled in, it felt like a peaceful retreat nestled in the heart of Texas Hill Country. The grounds were immaculately maintained with a nature-inclusive feel that made us feel at home. During our brief stay, we spotted what must have been a hundred deer roaming freely through the area—a beautiful sight to wake up to each day. It was also a practical stop for us, as we needed nearby repair services for our RV, and thankfully, the area had what we needed. The staff here were constantly at work tending to the grounds and facilities, and their efforts were evident in every corner of the park. The reception team was both friendly and helpful, answering all our questions with a smile. Quiet, scenic, and well-run, this RV resort is the kind of place you remember and return to. We would absolutely recommend HTR Texas Hill Country RV Resort to fellow travelers looking for comfort and tranquility in the Texas Hill Country.

Cleanest campgrounds I've ever seen. Not a single spiderweb In the showers. Very nice people, staff and guests. Be assured, this place is worth the rates.

Caught Sue Glenna (office personnel/ resident site 52) exiting my camper upon my return from eating Nextdoor at “The Crazy Hay Barn” with my family. Sue Glenna’s justification for entering my home was that my dogs were barking and that they belonged inside. It was a perfect 69 degrees outside. We were next door to her I later found out. She didn’t like the barking. Doubtful any complaints at all between 8-9:30. They rarely bark unless someone is walking up. I didn’t press charges. Certainly didn’t want to put my 10 yr old through that. Didn’t want him to have to feel like he had something to do her going to jail by making a statement as a witness. We were having a good time up to that point until finding the woman creeping out of our travel trailer. After speaking with Officer Ruiz with Ingram PD, he confirmed at minimal she would face criminal trespassing if I did press charges. My game warden brother in law didn’t even know the new “no chain law”. However, Officer Ruiz confirmed I did nothing unlawful after reviewing the law with me. When the groundskeeper was notified by Sue Glenna that I was angry, she came and treated me like I was the criminal for tethering my dogs while eating and then said she could tow my travel trailer. I was not yelling, cursing, or being disrespectful despite the circumstance. Horrible experience. Not so much as an apology for Sue Glenna entering my travel trailer. My boy was the only barricade stopping me from showing them how wrong they were lawfully. See the two culprits below (Sue pictured left. The groundskeeper pictured right).

I really enjoyed staying here. The campground is fantastic. If you like seeing wildlife, you have otters, geese and deer here. There is a nice walking trail along the creek that is really pleasant. Everyone here is really nice. We had a lot of requests and all of them were met and exceeded. There were a lot of good vibes all around. The location is pretty nice too. You're not too far from anything you need to get to. Overall I would highly recommend By The River and would come back for an RV Park in Kerrville.

Loved staying here! Staff was super friendly and welcoming. RV spots were level. The river right there was nice. It was close to many excursions, we stayed busy, relaxed and had a blast all week! Def grab some night crawlers for the kids and let them fish at sunset.

I didn't stay here but my brother-in-law and sister-in-law did and it was awesome. Besides the views and the site the people and staff were so wonderful to my family. My brother-in-law had an issue with his lock on the trailer on Christmas day with no one available to help him the management and residents and other people in the park came together and helped them get it worked out so they could get back in. They stayed a week and loved every day of it. Thank you all for helping save Christmas!!
