Cal Expo RV Park in Sacramento, CA: A City Guide

This RV park is fine as a place to stay we're looking to attend events at Cal expo or anywhere in the city of Sacramento area. There are full hookups here which is nice. And while it is kind of in the middle of everything, it's secluded enough that it's quiet and not a lot of riff Raff going around through here

Our band was on a long haul tour throughout the west coast and we stayed in Cal Expo. Just the right amount of amenities and all very comfortable also exceptional service from the associate at the front. She was willing to help us and be patient while we sorted out our late check in. Kudos to the Cal Expo team would recommend to everybody if you need a park to stay in.

Safe! Nothing fancy but I feel safer here than any other RV park I've stayed at Cal Expo RV Park is located in the heart of Sacramento easy to find and a ton of pull thru sites The camp Host are awesome thank you

It's off the beaten path, so it's a little hard to get to.  Spots are reasonably level.  Reasonably quiet spot.  The lady in the office was very pleasant & helpful.  We will stay here again if in area

Great functional park, lots of room perfect for big rigs. Nice people. Centrally located for local visiting. Bike path access is excellent.

Gravel parking lot. Good location for downtown doctor's appointments. Our site had the most trash of any in our 6 years of full-time. See picture.

This is a great location in central Sacramento. It’s basically a cement lot with plenty of full hook ups. The place was about 25% full. We found it strange when management would then place an RV exactly right next to us with so many available spaces.

Relaxing well-priced RV park in Sacramento located close to stores. Dog park enclosed and grassy. Very basic park, no frills.

For a atay lasting a few days, Cal Expo RV is a good place to stay. The outside area is OK at best, but the park is secure and clean. Very few trees, level gravel spaces and very good hook ups! We try to stay here whenever in the area.

Even with the campground signs, it was a bit of a challenge to find. We did hear trains and planes, but not enough to keep us awake. Clean park. The check In Was great, the park employee met us at our camper when we first pulled in, with all the paperwork, very efficient. Would stay there again!

Wow... This place is next level bad. They only allow new RVs and refused to take reservations for RVs older than 10 years. This is the first thing they asked on the phone. That's the thing about RVs, they last more than 10 years and still look great. A 2011 RV wouldn't be allowed.

Glad we dodged this bullet after reading the other reviews here. A key deposit? What the heck?

Large wide sites.  Centrally located in the city.  Clean. Friendly accommodating staff. Good place for stopover. Asphalt lot. Not fancy. No long termers with stuff around makes it good.
Will use again.

Great place to get away for a bit, no problems no garbage , best price and WiFi is good if you're close to the office, no complaints from me, close to everything fun

Nice RV park if you're just looking for a place to park. Spaces in a parking lot. Friendly staff at check-in, sites are fairly wide. Full hookups. Well maintained. Nice fenced area for dogs.

It is a good no frills park. It is NOT a fancy rv resort type place, but I gave it 5 stars for being a good little mostly quiet place for an overnight stay. Not for being fancy. You have to pay a $20 deposit, in cash, for a bathroom/shower key. Refundable on checkout. The staff there, I believe, is all volunteers and they do a great job. They have security patrols at night. It's a good place for a quick overnight stay.

There are 2 sections. The front section is paved, has some trees, is not level. The back lot is gravel, no trees, but will handle large RVs easily. FHU, very good over-the-air tv reception. Is in the city itself, convenient to shopping, restaurants and freeways. There is supposed to be wifi but it does not work. At all! There is a 30 day limit on your stay; must leave.
