We stopped on our way to Laughlin and we had so much fun. We spent maybe two and a half hours there. We paid 8$ per person to go in. They have free little museums as well as guided tours. We got tickets for the train (4.50$) which was maybe about 5-8 min long. Definitely worth a stop if you are on your way to Vegas.

Great spot to stop by and explore with friends and family. Small entry fee. Lots of old & restored buildings dating back to 1880's.

Must stop. Even better during Halloween! It's like your in tne late 1800s with a full town with activities, shopping and food. They go all out on Halloween. Live music, magic, contests, haunted mazes and gun shoot outs! Definitely a must try. Great camping and cabins

We enjoyed our stay at Calico! Very quiet & chill campground. We were able to walk to “town” and had a lot of fun in the cute shops & bought lots of souvenirs! We also had an early dinner at Calico House restaurant- me & my hubby both had Philly cheesesteak sammies & fries! So good!! We’d definitely return to this campground if traveling back through the area!

This is an annual spot for myself and my family. We go to enjoy the ghost of ghost town. We enjoy going october for the Halloween festivities. We ride the train at sunset, but next year, we're riding in the dark. It's a great place to go for family and the nighttime for adults. Maggie's mine haunted tour and the scary maze. You can pan for gold and take some home. There's live music, shows, and you can vote for your favorite storefront. They dress up the town in Halloween decor. And if you're into reptiles, they even have a place where you can hold a snake and take pictures. They have millipede centipedes, scorpions, and the lot even cute little fuzzy tarantulas.

Mock mining town with historic sites, good details on history but additional charges to go on little train ride or walk through a mining tunnel was disappointing. Good stopping point between LA and LV or GC south rim with shops and cafes available.

This is a great place for a self guided field trip for homeschoolers! We took the kids to explore the mine and explore the grounds. Each activity like the train ride, mine tour, fun house, are ticketed separately from the entrance fee. Good place to take the family. We ate at the restaurant too, pretty good establishment. Bring waters and walking shoes.

This is the perfect camping spot for those who love lying under a sky sprinkled with millions of stars, basking in the gentle moonlight and cool breezes. For the best experience, head there in early spring or autumn. The restrooms? Surprisingly clean and spacious! But beware: if you go in the summer, you might just turn into a sad, crispy piece of beef jerky.

Great stop! The campground is quite large and has full hookups as well as dry camping sites. Most sites are quite rocky but there's a new section where the sites are "more groomed". Restrooms have showers and are clean. The ghost town is amazing so make sure you give yourself time to explore.

We stayed here on our way out to California. The staff at this park were excellent. They accommodated us moving our arrival day. The surroundings of this park are absolutely beautiful. There is a little ghost town that you can tour, which was included in the price of the camping. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

This is a small attraction on the way to Las Vegas. It has historical significance and is worth visiting. The staff there told us that there will be bands singing on special holidays, and the Christmas decorations are very beautiful.

This place is awful. Pulled into the main gate and there were 7 cars in front of us. Took 11 minutes for the employee to get all of them in, and they were just day-visitors. Finally got to the booth and she seemed confused as to what to do. Got us 'checked-in' (I believe), and said go ahead on in. Had no idea where I was going so she finally gave me a map after I asked. I felt like asking her to do her job was an imposition. Pulled into the 'campground' and it is crap. The road is asphalt (poorly laid asphalt, not installed by licensed contractors) but the sites are rutted dirt strewn with various size rocks. Had to clear rocks before pulling in. Our pedestal is wobbly and broken, many of the sewer hookups have no caps. The site is very unlevel. We had to pull into the center of our site so that the fire ring in the adjacent site would not be directly under our left slide. Some sites don't have fire rings, just stacks of rocks that people have used to make their own. Our site also had no table. There is trash everywhere in the campground, on the trails and in the bathrooms. The bathrooms were horrible. Overflowing toilets, one door with a broken closer. We were here 2 nights, and they were never cleaned. When we pulled out at 10am the bathrooms still hadn't been cleaned. When we checked in they did not give us a receipt or window tag. So, when we left to go shopping, we just told them we were at the CG, and they waved us through. When we returned from having dinner there was no one at the gate so we just drove in. The staff spend a lot of time driving around in their carts and trucks but never saw them doing any work. And be careful because they race around at high speed. We only came here to see the ghost town. Which also had trash everywhere. We've been to other ghost towns but wanted to see this one because of its connection to Knott's Berry Farm. It's a typical tourist trap. Several of the buildings are empty/for lease. In many respects it was like walking around the ghost town area of Knott's. I would not recommend more than one or two days here. We won't be back.

Went on a Friday. It wasn’t packed. Paid around 30 to get in for a family of four. Can spend a few hours there just looking around the shops and museums they have. It seems a lot of tourists visit as well. Clean bathrooms and lots of places to walk and areas to explore.

This was a fun little stop on our trip down route 66. We just wanted to see an old mining town from yesteryear. We walked down the Main Street and took photos of the beautiful buildings. We didn't buy any souvenirs or trinkets so I cannot tell you my opinion on pricing. However it did cost money to drive in and park. (around $10 from memory) Probably allow yourself an hour to look around.

Nice stop for the night. Reservation includes entry into the Ghost Town and it's just a short walk from the campground. Dogs are allowed at both, we even got to take them into the old mines. The Ghost Town has different activities for an extra cost, reasonable prices and offers several tours that sound fun. The campground/RV area is clean and has bathrooms with showers (showers are $1, quarters only for 5 minutes). Our site had power, water, and sewer. No lighting at night so be sure to bring a flashlight. Fires allowed so bring some wood and s'mores. Lots of families and pets, everyone was respectful and it was quiet by 10pm. Make sure to have your leveling blocks, the sites are gravel and uneven.
