The place needs some attention. Meaning, the men's bathroom has a leaking toilet that runs to a drain in the middle of the floor. Gross. The firepits have garbage in them. As new owners you think they would pay more attention to the little things. Oh and the shower will scald you. Be careful.

Stay up front. Back side along lake road has long-term campers camping, in tents, and trailers. Looked like a homeless park. Lots of trash, tents, half standing. On the bright side…. Bathrooms are clean, but in need of updating. Location is very convenient to the ferry. No problems checking in, good communications. Facility overall in need of updating. If there were an alternative, we would not stay here again.

Campground is old and tired and in badly need of maintenance. We were given a site next to the exposed trash dumpster and smelled garbage for 3 days. The laundry room only had 2 out of 5 working washers and the floor was sloshing with water due to a leaking machine. Would not recommend at all!

We were just driving through and hadn’t booked ahead, but decided to stop in. We were greeted by the owner—dressed in a Halloween costume even though it was the end of August! She explained that tonight was a Halloween-themed celebration for the kids, complete with trick-or-treating, a kids’ dance, and even an adults’ dance later in the evening. It looked like a lot of fun. We hadn’t come prepared to hand out candy, but she kindly gave us a large bowl to participate. That generous gesture really stood out. We stayed in a trailer at the far back of the campsite. It was basic, but it worked well for what we needed. The prices were very reasonable. Yes, the site is a bit dated and could use some work but honestly, it reminded my wife and me of the camping we did as kids. There’s a certain charm to that. The staff were super friendly, and the other guests were just as nice. The Halloween-themed night added a really fun and unexpected touch to our stay. Thanks for a great time, see you next time!

Campers Haven is a perfect campground vacation spot. The atmoshpere is relaxed with lots of fun for everyone and its only a few minutes drive from the ferry and the shops in town. You will love it.

Decided to book a site here after reading their reviews and right up to checkin everything was great , but that was where it ended . We went to our site and found it overgrown , no picnic table , and next to a group that partied well into the early morning hours . I went to plug our power and was greeted with an overgrown half broken post that seemed very unsafe . We went to do our dishes in the outdoor dish washing station and it was disgusting , and completely unsanitary . I decided to go for a swim and the beach area water is overgrown with grass and unpleasant looking so went to the pool instead only to be greeted with an out of order sign at 6 pm and when asked the person working there was told closed until the next day , due to refilling, but people had just been in it a little earlier . I have been to National parks , provincial parks , and other private parks , and this was overpriced and completely unsatisfactory.

Had a two night stay the cabin was nice with bathroom, staff are great felt very welcome to be there. Nice pool and spa, lots of stuff to do for the kids. We had good weather and was able to have a campfire, we will be back for another stay this summer.

Absolutely avoid this camp site …very rude hosts and all you have to do is look at the lack of customers. They make the rules as they go.The owners are mentally unstable…be carefull

Had to find a place to self isolate for 2 weeks. Deb was accommodating and friendly from day 1 of the planning to the end of my stay. I stayed in her rental trailer. She picked up groceries twice and provided videos and books and words of comfort. I wouldn’t have made it without her and her husband. Awesome people and place!!! Thanks again Deb and Campers Haven!!

The owners were very helpful and accommodating. As a senior lady travelling solo felt very secure. Good unserviced site, close to very clean washroom, wonderful hot shower, free. Good value. Will return again when in the area.

We were happy with the campground overall. ..we arrived close to dusk so we didn't have time to use the pool or putting course. When we picked a different spot after getting g checked in they moved us with no hassle. It's nice they have tenting and trailer spots. There were some rowdy campers that seemed to be seasonal but they stayed in their own group so other than volume it wasn't a big deal for us.....we enjoyed our fire, meal and the star filled sky.Would definitely stay here again...was great to have a shower in the morning.

Very nice host who welcomed me to Nova Scotia for the first time. She answered a lot of questions, and was just so informative. The campsites are very nice, but if you’re on a motorcycle check your site first. My site was difficult to safely get a bike into without dropping it. However there are a ton of sites that are perfect for us on bikes.
