This very old park has lake access and has a lot of seasonals. The sites are large full hook up sites on grass. The store in the office is well stocked with all the camping items you forgot or need to replace. They have an indoor pool. The bathhouse is dated but clean and functional. The showers were spacious with good flow. The park is located off the end of the main runway of the Lapena airport. The navy has a guard base there so the F-18’s, in flights of 2, depart and arrive often during the day and are quite low. The town is just a few miles away and easy to access.

Friendly park. Entry road is paved/patched and very rough. Interior roads are all dirt/gravel so dust clouds are constant with all the bike and golf cart activity. Sites are dirt with a very little bit of small pebbles, so very messy. Grass btwn sites. Very low water pressure. No sewer but a dump station is provided with all the features. Doubt we would stay again due to the mess.

Lovely campground with friendly staff and hot showers. Unfortunately there was no WiFi (as advertised), which makes it less than ideal for working remotely. Was also not expecting the loud airplane noise all day long from the county airport nearby, which is also shared with the air national guard base, who were conducting trainings and flybys over the campground. Daytime was miserable with air traffic noise. Evening was quiet and nice. Maybe weekends are different? I was here Mon-Tue. No refund offered for the second night I purchased.

Found it to be quite Beautiful! Lots of amenities, and indoor pool. But most of all, were the staff. Always very helpful and friendly. We rented the Nomad camper. They were always very ready to help when we needed anything. Would highly recommend!! Big lots too 😃

I’m really disappointed in the turn this place has taken. We’ve been camping here every year for the last decade and this is our last. We were harassed and blamed by the owner for losing business. We had been camping for approximately 3 days of a week’s stay when we got new neighbors. Before they had even placed their camper, they were reporting us to the front. They never once attempted to talk to us personally. I feel it was racially motivated. Our music wasn’t loud or inappropriate. Music throughout the campground could be heard everywhere but we were the only ones targeted. Those neighbors left a day early and canceled for next year as well. The owner came back and blamed us for that while also stating he didn’t want to lose our business. Then he came by and lied to us about a big storm coming at noon, it rained lightly for approx 5 mins. I feel that was an attempt to get us to leave. We didn’t leave but it ruined all of our plans for the day and we cancelled renting kayaks on what ended up being the perfect day for them. The hospitality of this campground has changed from previous years. The old staff is still great, however new staff is not as pleasant. We’ve had some great family vacations here over the last decade but we will be vacationing elsewhere in the future. Also, the biting flies are really bad.
