Camping de la Mer

Overview

Camping de la Mer offers a tranquil escape on the shores of the St. Lawrence River in Pointe-Lebel. This park is defined by its stunning maritime scenery and direct access to the water. Visitors often come here to experience the unique rhythm of the tides and the peaceful atmosphere of the Manicouagan region. It serves as a comfortable and well-maintained base for exploring the rugged beauty of the North Shore of Quebec.

Location & Surroundings

Situated on a scenic peninsula just outside of Baie-Comeau, the park is surrounded by vast sandy beaches that stretch for kilometers. The landscape is a unique blend of coastal forest and maritime shoreline, offering expansive views of the river that can feel like looking out at the ocean. The gentle sound of waves and the refreshing salt air define the environment, making it feel worlds away from the hustle of urban life.

Amenities & Park Features

The park is well-equipped for modern RVers, offering a variety of sites with full hookups including water, sewer, and 30-amp electricity. Guests have access to essential facilities such as clean showers, laundry rooms, and Wi-Fi in designated areas. Families will appreciate the on-site playground and the community-focused atmosphere. The layout is designed to maximize the natural landscape while providing enough space for mid-to-large rigs to maneuver and settle in comfortably.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Just a short drive away, the city of Baie-Comeau offers cultural sites like the Jardin des Glaciers, where visitors can learn about the region's fascinating geological history. Outdoor enthusiasts can explore local hiking trails or take a ferry across the river for a day trip. The surrounding area is also perfect for birdwatching and beachcombing, particularly during low tide when the shoreline reveals its hidden treasures and creates a playground for explorers.

Who This Park Is Best For

This park is an ideal destination for nature-loving families and retirees looking for a quiet coastal retreat rather than a high-traffic resort.
