Carlsbad RV Park & Campground

We love this campground! It's super kid friendly, all of the staff are wonderful! And it has an indoor heated swimming pool! It's a little on the pricey side, but you pay for what you get! This RV park is by far the best we've seen in town! Totally clean, and enough room in and around the sites for the kids to run and play. Definitely recommend! 🥰

Great place in a fairly remote town. Excellent people owning/managing the place—really want you to have a good stay. A nice RV store and heated indoor pool here too. Lots of sites that, although are not generally paved, are well maintained. Smaller RVs are grouped together, and larger ones are grouped similarly. Quiet, even though it’s right on the main road through Carlsbad. Easy to get to the Caverns and Guadeloupe Mountain. Definitely would stay here again.

I loved this campground! They just opened up tent camping and their spots are very nice, despite not being completed. There was a picnic table in the site, a covered picnic table nearby, a water spigot in site, and there will someday be electricity when they finish! They had absolutely wonderful restrooms, I have honestly not seen such clean restrooms at a camp before, and they even have showers! They also have a main office with various items that are sold if you forgot some, a pool, a laundry room, and a leisure room. Would totally recommend if you want to visit Carlsbad Caverns or the Guadalupe Mountains.

This park is being upgraded and we loved it. Their bathrooms will be new and awesome when open. The showers look amazing with beautiful new tile. For now there is a trailer with private shower/bathrooms which are clean and heated. The laundry facility was clean and spacious. This location is convenient to access Carlsbad Caverns and the town.

Couldn't be happier with our stay. The staff was always friendly and super accommodating. I spoke to Angela and Holly on several separate occasions and on each occasion, they were a pleasure to work with. They went out of their way to do the best they could to accommodate the 5 trailers we had in our entourage. We stayed over the Martin Luther King holiday (3 nights). The park was kept very clean. There was plenty for the kids to do. I would 100% stay there again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice RV park to stay at. Thank you staff at Carlsbad RV Park & Campground.

Wanted to like this place because the staff was super accomodating and nice and they have some grass sites, but I am not sure how this place gets such good ratings. This place is way overpriced for the amenities which need serious updating. - You get bamboozled by the clean check-in, store & laundry which are inviting and then you see the rest of the place. - Their "sparkling clean" showers/restrooms were so gross and trough style so you would be showering in someone elses grime even with flip flops. - The cable was spotty and kept going in and out from clear to pixelated most of the time. - Couldn't play horseshoes because they were missing 2 horseshoes. - Couldn't play cornhole because they were missing a beanbag. - The laundry room was super clean, but it was $7 ($3.50 each) to do a load. - The pool was very outdated & super loud if any kids were in it (it echoes because it is indoors and you can't hold a conversation). - The pool is cold even though they say it is heated. It is okay to put your feet and legs in for a quick cool off, but you can't swim in it long. They set it at 80 degrees and there is no sun to counteract the cold because it is indoors. The proper temperature for elderly and children is from 84 to 94 degrees. 80 Degrees is for competition swimmers to keep them chilled and stimulated. I wonder if the managers have ever swam in the pool to see how cold it really is. The pool was the only reason we booked this park so we wasted 3 nights here and paid almost $55 a night for a parking spot. The staff, grass sites, the trees, & good wifi gives this the extra star otherwise it would be a one star based on the pool & amenities. Overall, we would not recommend this place if you want to use the facilities. If you are just passing through and need a spot for a night I would not recommend it either because it is so overpriced (there is BLM land all around the caverns for an overnighter).

This is not the closest RV park to Carlsbad Caverns National Park but it is one of the closest. They have full hookups. We stayed in a water/electric only site. Some sites have shade, lots are sunny. The sites are gravel and mixed in terms of being level. They will give you a WiFi code but forget it. It never works. When I asked about it, they said, "It is lousy but that is why it is free." Really!!! The bathhouse is old and no air conditioning. Awful. There is an indoor pool which is also in a building that has no air conditioning. It was cooler outside and it was 100 degrees outside. There is a laundry room which is not on the map. I learned about it when I asked where the nearest laundromat was. She said the map got printed and it got left out. I thought so why not write it in instead of risking guests not knowing about it? I would have been angry if I had driven to a laundromat to later find out there was one on premise. The staff was friendly but not particularly helpful. I had a nest of yellow jackets by my water/electric hookups and they sprayed once. When I called again to say there were still tons and I was afraid about unhooking in the morning, they said I could move to the site across the way. Why would I unhook and face yellow jackets at that moment and then hook up to move across the road to only to have to unhook again in the morning. The logic was lost upon me. There seemed to be a lot of workers staying at this site. That was not a big deal because they were all very quiet and not a problem at all. This is not the best RV park but there are not a lot of options as far as I could tell in Carlsbad. We stayed there mainly to visit the Carlsbad Cavern National Park which was amazing. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group

First, they charged our card BEFORE we arrived. They said it was just an authorization & when we came in, they would charge the correct amount. Not so, they had to refund the card & charge us with the correct discount. The manager came over. Didn't apologize but explained their policy is to charge the card. We explained that in 2 yrs of full timing & over 80 campgrounds, we never were charged for the entire amount of stay until we checked in. She gave us a day (at full price) credit. Even so, it still gives us a bad taste in our mouths Take GS & ESP (Escapees). Site: gravel, nose to back Pull thrus, Fhu. Close by sites but we had room to put slides out. Picnic Table on pavers. No shade. 50 & 30 amp sites, cable & WiFi (ok). Dog run, laundry room, game room, playground (looks sad), indoor pool, store. Close to Caverns & 50 miles to Guadalupe National Park. Don't know if I would return. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
