My husband just took our 5th wheel camper to Cobble Hill campground for our son Noah Allen to live in for a while #26 site is what he was given. Very little space in between to do much of anything with a picnic table with one seat and the other side where another seat should be are huge nails sticking up through the wood!! Noah works in Charlotte and his hours usually 12noon til 9pm. Takes over hour to get home at night. Pitch dark out there at his #26 camp site. So I told him to leave outside lights on until he was back his camper and inside safely and then he could turn off. Well Noah told me he had a c/o because lights were on and they were too bright!!! You never know what or is beside you or behind you in a Campground And it’s so dark you can’t see to walk from one place to another. He needs lights. Noah closes blinds at night, others should do the same!! My husband also said the site he was given was so steep he could not get the camper level!!! When a better and more private site becomes available I would appreciate you moving Noah to that site! This is really outrageous the false advertising you have online of this wonderful clean campground with all these amenities but there’s not much truth there is it? This is the most unkept campground I’ve ever seen and heard of!! Clean it up!! We will be looking for a better place for our young man! You need lights in a campground!!!! I left message for you to call me but no response. Shelia and Stephen Allen for Noah Allen #26 camp site.

We had a disappointing 1-night stay in late September. Staff cordially welcomed us with the usual info and directed us to site 4. We found the gravel site was far from level in 2 directions. One empty site next to us had an abandoned small refrigerator and old sewer hose. The bath house and laundry across the lane was not functional and the one working bath house was at the far end of the park. While we did not tour the loop beyond the pond, many of the sites we did see seemed to be occupied by long-term or year-round residents, suggesting Cobble Hill is somewhat an RV version of a mobile-home park. After 5:30 or so, we saw a lot of homecoming traffic, and soon the WIFI, which was slow to start with, ground to a halt, unusable. In all, it was quiet at night, affordable and conveniently situated off Rt. 601, but we would likely look elsewhere for other options when travelling through the area.

Not very well kept. A nice courtesy would have been to blow off all the dead leaves and cleaned out the fire pit before our arrival. My husband had to do it to see where he needed to park the camper. Our view of the pond was nice but the view of the old not maintained campers was disgusting. I get you want long term renters. But make them clean up their site. Makes the whole campground look like trash. Too bad. The pool area is run down and green water. Your pictures have totally falsely advertised. Very disappointing. Too bad because it could so much better.

Its Memorial Day weekend and they have a water slide for the kids. Kids are absolutely having a great time! Thank you Kristy and George you guys rock!!! We've been living here since October and we love it. When we first moved in we had a problem with our electric and Kristy and George came right out and fixed it. They are very hard workers and they love their job here and treat everyone very well. We absolutely enjoy living here and the kids are so happy. The kids loved the Easter brunch and Easter egg hunt Kristy and George put together for everyone.

My husband and I absolutely loved our visit here! The atmosphere was super cozy quiet and welcoming — it was such a peaceful little getaway. Lots of space on the property. The lake at night with the lights reflecting on the water was absolutely beautiful. The staff were so kind and helpful which made the stay even better. Such a wonderful experience, we will definitely be coming back!

We loved our recent stay at Cobble Hill Campground! Our campsite was super spacious and had a peaceful, woodsy vibe that made it feel like a true escape. The kids had an absolute blast so much room to run around and play & I got some much needed peaceful reading time in. Our dog even had fun at the adorable little dog park! It’s such a family-friendly spot, and everything was clean and well-kept. We’ve already scheduled some time back in 2026! We can't wait!

A Hidden Gem in Nature – Perfect Getaway! Cobble Hill Campground is absolutely incredible! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the peaceful setting, clean facilities, and welcoming atmosphere. The sites are spacious and well-maintained, with just the right amount of privacy. Whether you're tent camping or bringing an RV, everything you need is right here. The staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely cares about making your stay comfortable. We especially loved the nearby trails and scenic views—perfect for morning walks and evening campfires under the stars. It’s the kind of place where you can truly unplug and relax. We’ve already recommended Cobble Hill Campground to friends and family, and we’ll definitely be coming back. If you’re looking for a well-kept, quiet, and beautiful place to unwind, this is it!

Just stayed 3 nights there on site #4. Made reservations couple months ago for us and two other couples, ask for buddy campsites. Two was close other was up on back forty up by the pool. Arrived at 2 on Thurs one no was at the office, picked up papers in outside box( which was fine). Went to the office several times but saw no owners the entire time we were there. Campground is huge majority of spots are permanent spots. The grounds are in need of serious maintenence and up keep. A lot of very run down campers are parked there and lot of junk laying around the sites. There is a lot of early morning traffic due to workers leaving for work(which we understood completely). Only had one working bathhouse. No internet entire time we were there. On positive note the lake was nice and very beautiful at up at nights with the lights on. The small playground and dog park looked to be nice. This place may be be a work in progress but take a little pride in what you have now and just clean it up.

Carolina Rose was a great campground until they fired the General Manager. Shara was amazing at her job and made me feel so welcome here and helped me when I needed to troubleshoot my new 5th wheel. I'm suppose to be here a few more months for work but am now considering leaving. Shara made this campground a pleasure to stay at. What a sad loss.

Carolina Rose has a lot of potential. The setting is beautiful. We stayed there for a week. There are definitely a few things that need to be addressed, so I make these suggestions hoping to encourage the owners to create a better camping experience. The old bathhouse is in desperate need of updating. It is filthy. The putt putt is a great idea, but is run down and in need of repair. The sites should be picked up and prepped after each camper. Speaking of the sites they are in need of repair. Some are unlevel and have little room to park your vehicle. There are 50 permanent sites. I understand that the permanent sites bring steady in come, but too many take away from the cleanliness of the campground. Lastly, workers were not very friendly. We enjoyed the animals, chickens, goats, alpacas. And definitely love the setting. Hopefully our review will help the owners and future campers.

I can't even begin to convey our disappointment in the change of this campground that we loved last summer. Under new management, the grounds are not kept up, playground sand is full of weeds, personnel is unfamiliar with the camp sites (size, unlevel, etc.), pool was closed due to inspection not passed yet, and I could go on and on. We really loved this campground in the past, and will possibly give the new management another chance to improve on their management skills in bringing this campground back to it's fullest potential.

We have a 32ft travel trailer. We have been here since November. These past five months have been great. The staff is very kind and helpful. The bathrooms/showers are always clean. And the grounds are kept up beautifully. Can't wait to start fishing and swimming in the pool. We highly recommend Carolina Rose Campground. For the weekend or a longer stay. You and your family will love it!
