Perfect if you like being arms length from the next camper. No trees to feel any kind of privacy from others. Just an open lot with drive in campsites one on top of the other. We actually booked this online ahead of time and left after we arrived and saw the conditions. It’s not for anyone who actually wants to feel an ounce of privacy or “real camping”. I don’t know what this is but it’s not real camping 🤣

Train at night was very loud, but the campground was clean and well maintained. The host was fantastic.

Great location. Enjoyed walking around Thunder Island and watching the boats. The host was very nice and helpful. Sites are a bit tight, but worth it for the experience.

Beautiful by day, horrible by night. The area is really beautiful and we thought we had the perfect spot. Until we noticed the trains, they came by allllll night long. Too bad because the rest was pretty awesome but will not visit again because of this. The noise of the trains was deafening.

Really loud trains all night long 100ft away. All bathrooms and showers locked. Not really sure where to go to the bathroom... Would have be nice to know in advance. Of course we were still charged full price.

The bathrooms are closed for the winter. They had a sign on the doors that said you could use the ones at the boat dock, but those close at 7pm— so after that, you’re on your own. If you’re tent camping, this is a real problem.

Lately, there are many negative reviews, but I enjoyed my couple days stay in this beautiful park/campground. I didn’t find any other campground to stay, and I drove straight to Marine park, got big spot with water, electricity and hot water bath. Staff was friendly, funny and helpful. There are two train pathway,I found only runs in day. There are couple restaurants and many places to visit, I like fishing just down in park. Amazing experience staying here and will visit again.

This place is awful! The trains run 24hrs a day, right next to the campground. The sites are right on top of each other. Being in site #2, means everyone who doesn't have hookups will walk through your campsite to get to the public potable water. The website says one vehicle is included in fee, this is misleading as they include your camper/rv as a vehicle and you have to pay extra if you bring a car for sightseeing. This isn't camping, this is a cheap place to stay for the night. If you can afford anything else, then I'd do that. Trust me!

An overall, the Campground is a perfect place to camp except for campsite 1. This feedback is mainly for Camp Site # 1, which is very scary and unsuitable for the tent camper. Site 1 is just beside the road, and it is not safe for the tent camper. It is terrifying when Cars drive very fast on the road and no fence or protection to the Site 1 camper. Also, Campsite 1 is very near the rail track, disturbing mainly at night. It is good we did not hear the train honk. The Camp host was not friendly and not ready for any adjustments after concerns and many restrictions moving or placing the tent around. Site 1 should not allow booking for tent camping.
