A beautiful place to come and not far from Montreal. Fairly newly renovated bathrooms and shower. Very clean. The beach is huge and the views breathtaking. Lots of walking and bicycle paths. Slides, a climbing wall and big bouncer makes it a fantastic place for kids.

We had a wonderful camping experience at Centre Touristique du Lac Simon. The facilities were very clean and well maintained, which made our stay comfortable. Having access to showers was a big plus. The campsite felt very safe, giving us peace of mind. The beach was fantastic – spacious, clean, and perfect for families. Our kids especially loved the slide and the trampoline, which kept them entertained. Overall, it’s a great place for a family getaway, and we would happily return!

Pros: The beach is beautiful. The water is crystal clear, and the shoreline is wide and spacious. There are plenty of picnic tables with lots of natural shade, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy warm days. The sanitary facilities are clean and well maintained. Cons: The campground feels quite crowded. Many campsites are very close together, with little to no vegetation separating them, which can make privacy and quiet a challenge. Your experience may largely depend on your neighbors, especially if you’re hoping for a peaceful stay. On the positive side, there’s a patrol that actively enforces curfew rules (no music after 10 p.m., no noise after 11 p.m.), which helps somewhat. However, if you're hoping for quiet evening, particularly for young children that way want to go to bed earlier, it may come down to luck.

Great place for family camping! The beach has a great playground for kids with giant slides and a trampoline. The smaller beach that is accessible from the camping is great for kids as the water is very shallow. Toilets are generally clean and the showers are free, the water temperature in the shower is quite high, which is not ideal for young kids but they get through it.

The beach was absolutely beautiful—I really want to go back to the campsite beside it. The water was crystal clear, warm, and gentle, making it a perfect spot to relax. I loved our time there; we stayed in our camper and had a wonderful experience. Although the ground gets a bit muddy after rain, the beach more than makes up for it. I’d love to return to Lac Simon again.
