My favorite Colorado Campground! Bathrooms are the cleanest anywhere. We had stayed in a tent with them in the past but had never brought our pop-up camper. It worked out great! We always stay in the Lower Campground. We were able to fill up our water tank at the Campground before we setup. We were right by the playground so it kids could play anytime. There are now flush toilets located by the dish washing sink. We love all the trees, creek access and friendly staff. You can tell everyone cares deeply about this special spot in Chaffee County You must stay here!

Chalk Creek Campground is an absolute gem! The hosts are wonderful and made us feel right at home with their warmth and attentiveness — it's clear they take immense pride in this special place. The campground offers the perfect mix of comfort and nature, with some of our family enjoying the RV spots while others embraced the full camping experience in the tent sites, which worked great for us. A lot of spots have big shady trees and being so close to the creek is just unbeatable! We fell asleep each night to the soothing sound of the water flowing right beside us. It was a magical, memorable experience that brought the whole family together and we will absolutely be back!

Great little campground with upper level having full hookups and some trees on one side, and a lower level down where you can see and hear Chalk Creek running by. Some creek tubing allowed inside the campground boundary. Nice green grass in open recreational area in lower level, with disc golf practice, lots of trees nearer sites. One large group site. Have to acknowledge some road noise mostly during the day from Hwy. 285 running above the lower level. Small playground in lower level and fenced dog areas upper and lower. Kind staff and clean bathrooms and showers, but you do have to pay a quarter for every three minutes to shower.

We took our trailer down to the campground near the creek. This is the cleanest most well-maintained campground I’ve ever visited. Sites are sizable. Electric hookups. Great staff. Very friendly and very helpful. Self check in was incredibly easy since we arrived after the office closed. Plenty of firewood on the honor system.Decent small store following necessities. Will definitely be staying here again.

My family tent camped here in June 2025 and we had a really great camping experience. Tent site was large, flat, and shaded. They have coin operated laundry and shower facilities that are clean and well maintained. Staff was very friendly and helpful when we had questions. We camped down the hill where there was a covered dish-washing station, and restroom facilities that were well stocked and had good lighting at night. There is creek access, a playground, horseshoes, and a basketball goal, as well as a large field for use by everyone with disc golf baskets available. We had a great stay and the price was very reasonable. Will definitely stay here again if we are ever in the area.

Awesome location in the center of Chaffee County with amazing staff!!! Best spot to setup our camper and enjoy all this amazing place has to offer. Megan was incredible too and love the gift shop in the office, and how nice the restrooms were. Highly recommend if you’re planning to come through this area!

We stayed for 2 days, July 27,29 staff was very friendly and welcoming. Property was quiet and very well kept There is a store and laundry room and pay showers. Our site was very small and had full hookups, not worth the price. Nice overall.

We really lucked out with this place… Made a late reservation and still got a great site. Chalk creek is amazing…and Anthony was the so helpful getting us situated, even though we arrived pretty late in the evening. Our kids are eight and three and they had the most fun in the creek… and candy bingo was top-notch… they also had a playground for the kids to play… And plenty of space to run around… We had the most spacious campsite and the creek was just a few steps away! We definitely want to come back… A place to make memories for sure!

Great campground. We loved our shady spot in the lower campground. Dogs and kids had a great time playing in the creek. Also, they have a playground in the lower campground. Facilities were very clean and well maintained. Shop was well stocked and they offer candy bar bingo on Saturday evenings! We will definitely be back! Thank you for taking good care of us.

Owner and staff were very friendly and accommodating! Great location in between BV and Salida. Quiet rv lot with a beautiful park area down by the creek. Large, CLEAN, restrooms! Would definitely recommend! Planning on staying here again in the future.

This was a Wonderful and Peaceful camping experience. With a relatively newer camper and 1st time out, the personal running things showed me how to use the newer stuff. Place was Very Clean: Campsites, bathrooms, creek, picnic benches, etc. I will be camping there again!!

What an absolute cracker of a spot. This gem is quiet, picturesque and the staff are unreal! We found this place by chance and after speaking to a few regulars we quickly worked out why it's their number 1 spot. My Princeton hot springs are only a 5 minute drive away and you can get discounted tickets if you stay at the RV park. Amenities block is super clean also. We will definitely stay here again when we come over from Australia again!

We've been coming to Chalk Creek Campground for many years now and it continues to be our favorite trip of the season. The lower camping area is perfect for families with children. Ours love candy bar bingo hosted by the camp store staff! Staff are friendly and helpful. Tons of hiking and white water rafting nearby as well as Mt. Princeton Hot Springs. Highly recommend!

Great camp ground in a beautiful area. My wife and I had a great experience here at Chalk Creek Campground. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The campground has every convenience, showers, restrooms, laundry, small general store, water, dump site, power, wifi, large sites. Our 37ft rig fit easily. We rented movies and got ice cream from the store one evening. Plenty to do nearby. We will be back,l.

I was excited to come here and then read the reviews sounds like Gabe needs to stop communicating with the customers. Potential customers read these so I recommend ditching that dude.
