Our first time camping here , Tues-Sat. Site was good but very close with no privacy between sites. The yellow flies (biting) were terrible this time of year. The bathrooms were nice and clean. The rest of the camp is in much need of attention and repairs. The last hurricane season was hard on them, but no signs of fixing the issues. There were orange cones all over the dock for boards that need repair. My husband and I were walking along the dock beside each other and he stepped on a board causing the other loose end to pop up in front of me and cause me to trip. The worker did notice and didn’t say anything to us, but went and put another cone there. The recreation area was pitiful. The horseshoes were missing one of the posts. So couldn’t play. The cornhole boards are deteriorating and bags in poor condition sitting out in the dirt. Shuffleboard was old and needs new surface. The “Club House” was locked with a dead bolt and when looking inside, is just used for storage. It would be nice to be able to sit in the screened club house and play games or meet fellow campers and get away from the biting yellow flies. The WiFi they advertise is basically non-existent, and only one bar of cell service in the area, it would have been great if it actually worked! Other than going out on the water, there is nothing to do here or get excited about. We were hoping this would be a nice campground close to home, but we won’t be back.

We stayed this weekend, the home and rooms and the Chaz Suites are beautiful. The people were so kind. There a little lodge/bar down the road if that's ur thing. The spring we made it too was a blast and so gorgeous. We'll definitely be visiting again

This. Cute off the beaten track. Family run business truly brings you back to what life was and should be like. Gives you an old school Florida feeling that enhances The natural beauty of the world around us. Take a kayak tour with Rachel and explore the 7 sisters Springs that enchant and captivate. People from from all over the world. The waters are abundant with natural wonders and allows one To fully appreciate what life is like in the natural environment. The boat ramp is easy and accommodable and believe it or not runs on the honor system. Where you paid to park and launched your boat and you do do wth the best intentions. Take a step away from the computers. And off the highway. And transport yourself to a natural time where silence is golden among the treasures of nature.

Great to get away from super tourist of Crystal river for manatees and kayaking. Closes at 430 on weekdays unfortunately but we drove up and they were available. Would've enjoyed more evening time on the water. We ended up seeing and snorkeling with the manatees.

Loved our stay. Quiet camping. Well shaded with trees. Some sites are a bit tight, but not that bad. Have seen worse. The roads inside campground could use some work. Few potholes. There had been lot of rain maybe it’s in their plan to fix them. Staff was very friendly and great! Kayak rental was easy. Very helpful in launching and returning. We had a great time! Will be back.

ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL AND SERENE This campground is positioned on the eastern end of the Chassahowitzka River. Here you will discover spectacular scenery, clear freshwater springs, wildlife and some of the best kayaking in Florida. The campground hosts RV’s with full hookups and a separate area for primitive tent camping. Since the weather was cooler, we stayed at the tent camping area, and found it quiet and restful with no problems at all. Potable water is available near each site. The restrooms and bathhouse is a reasonable short walk and located in the RV section. As you can tell from my photos the campground is dog friendly. The campground hosts a place to launch boats and kayaks. Kayaks are also available for rent. We have brought our own kayaks in the past and have enjoyed the Seven Sister Springs, the Chassahowitzka River, and the Crack Springs located shortly off the river on Baird Creek. The Chassahowitzka River is absolutely astonishing in it beauty and serenity. It meanders through tributaries and coastal swamps many miles to Homosassa Bay in the Gulf of Mexico. On this visit we took time to enjoy the camping area and spent some relaxing time in the boat launch area enjoying the scenery and having interesting conversations with locals and those from afar who found this hidden gem. Only rented kayaks. This place is so close to some great spots and had a ton of manatees right out in front. Gave us great recommendations for our two hour time frame, and how to spot the difficult to find entrance to the crack. It was the most amazing place to kayak ever. Prices were great and had plenty for us even though we didn’t reserve. The kayaks were comfy and in very good condition. The river was really low due to extremely low tide but it was fun walking back to the crack, could float most of it.

Great spot. My only feedback would be to do some work on the women’s room shower drains. Standing water with other people’s hair. Gross. Husband said men’s room was great. No issues there. The campsites are wonderful for our van. Water/dock access dreamy. Endless paddling, fishing, snorkeling right from camp. Boat /paddle board lockers at the dock to store your own vessel while there so you don’t have to haul it up to camp every day! Genius! Camp staff super sweet! If you use the docks or rent equipment, don’t forget to tip the boat gettin’ staff!!
