I grew up and learned to swim in this lake! The water is so clear! It's beautiful scenery with a great, quiet campground as well as some hiking around the lake.

Gorgeous ridge-top campsites. Getting here requires driving several miles on gravel roads, but the whole route is completely passable in a small car. Mid week in August there were numerous lakeside sites to choose from. Since the Nicolet closed Sevenmile Campground, Morgan Lake seems to be the one place that can rival the ridgetop sites and good spacing and vegetation between sites that Sevenmile offered. The campground looks to be marked for a major logging operation that could drastically change the appearance of things for a few years while the forest regenerates. As of summer 2022 the cutting hadn't started yet. Overall, definitely worth a visit.

Been there a few times on a trail ride. Gonna drag the kayaks up in a couple of weeks to try the fishing.

It was very nice, hung out with my nephew Sam and girlfriend Katie, and nephew Bryan and Ashley, we had a nice visit and enjoyed the lake and campfire, would recommend it to anyone who needs to get out in the woods away from life for awhile it'sl way out in the Nicolet National Forest

Now that they have turned it into an ATV friendly campsite the peace and serenity is gone! If you like the sound of ATV's, loud beer parties and trash everywhere - this is the place to go. Peace and quiet and respectful campers have become a thing of the past. So very sad!

Been coming here for 32 years. Private sites, beautiful lake with loons, very quiet. No motor boats. Blackberry picking. Tons of hiking trails. The kayaking is wonderful. No amenities, just nature. Love,it!
