I really really really wanted to rank it higher but I cant. It should be a 3 but its in such a prime location and the launch is decent. The sites are limited and most arent on the water. If you have a camper or RV its great. But if you are tent camping there are better options in the area. The ground is mostly rock and super hard to pitch a tent properly. You can tie off to trees but that puts you on uneven ground. Its a lot less pine and birch for my liking in the area too but that's just nit picking. The volt toilets are well maintained and clean. Over all worth staying at but its not what I would call the perfect campground. Its stuck somewhere between rustic and modern.

The section of the campground to your left when you enter offers slightly more rustic sites well suited for tent campers. The remainder of the sites (past the beach) are much more developed and lack the spacing and privacy that you'd find at most other campgrounds on this national forest.

We stayed here in august. What we loved was the electric hookups, fishing, clean bathrooms, firewood on site, and fresh safe water. We didn't use the covered pavilion but it was nice, also they had a family camping site. We got Verizon in different areas but mostly on the fishing dock. Definitely will go back to enjoy again.

Very well maintained campground, really enjoyed the visit, the only drawback to plan for is the distance to the nearest septic dump site.

Very nice campground, will definitely stay here again. Can get busy during holiday weekends so book several months in advance! The beach and boat launch is super nice, although a bit small. Bathrooms were very clean. Lots of families with RVs come here if that matters to you

They have power! in all the sites >#11. Nice small, federally run camp spot. Lake Namakagon is great and has many restaurants and pubs right on the lake. The Chequamagon Forest has a bunch of LONG trails meandering through the woods. Close to Peter's Dome.

Beautiful camp grounds and very well taken care of. Woulf b 5 stars if fishing on lake namagon was better.

We LOVE this campground. What a surprise to have electricIty at all sites. Sites are mostly flat especially close to lake. Enough space between for privacy. (30ft. tt) Vault toilets are immaculate. Water well with spigots nearby. BEAUTIFUL views from our site looking out on the lake. Deer spotted along roadsides. Very limited Verizon . . . when the wind blows near the lake or in parking lot can pick up 4G one bar going in and out. Thirteen miles to Cable you can find good 4G.
