Cherry Valley Lakes
Overview
Cherry Valley Lakes is a tranquil RV resort nestled in the scenic foothills of the San Bernardino Mountains. It offers a peaceful escape from the urban sprawl of Southern California, characterized by its man-made lakes and lush greenery. The park provides a serene environment for those looking to enjoy nature without sacrificing modern comforts, functioning as a popular destination for both long-term stays and seasonal getaways. Travelers often find the park to be a hidden gem that balances outdoor recreation with a quiet, resort-style atmosphere.
Location & Surroundings
Situated in the community of Cherry Valley near Beaumont, the park sits at an elevation that provides slightly cooler temperatures than the nearby desert floor. The property is surrounded by rolling hills and mature trees, offering plenty of shade and a distinct sense of seclusion. Its proximity to Interstate 10 makes it easily accessible for travelers moving between the Los Angeles metropolitan area and the Coachella Valley, yet the park remains far enough from the highway to maintain a quiet environment.
Amenities & Park Features
The heart of the resort revolves around its two stocked fishing lakes, where guests can enjoy catch-and-release fishing in a quiet, picturesque setting. Beyond the water, the park features a spacious clubhouse and a large swimming pool, providing communal spaces for relaxation and neighborhood socialization. Practical needs are met with well-maintained laundry facilities and secure gated access. For those looking to stay active, the resort offers sports courts and walking paths that wind through the well-manicured grounds.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
A short drive from the park leads to the historic Oak Glen apple orchards, a seasonal favorite for hiking, cider tasting, and local treats. For those seeking entertainment or high-end shopping, the Morongo Casino and the Desert Hills Premium Outlets are located just a few miles away. Nature lovers can also explore the San Bernardino National Forest, which offers a wide array of hiking trails and scenic overlooks that are easily reachable for a day of mountain exploration.
Who This Park Is Best For
This location is ideal for retired travelers and families looking for a secure, gated environment with a slower pace of life. It appeals most to those who enjoy fishing and birdwatching directly from their home base. Because of its resort-style layout and community-focused atmosphere, it is a great choice for RVers who prefer a private park feel over a standard roadside overnight stop, making it a perfect destination for those planning an extended stay in the Inland Empire.

Nice campground close to lots of shopping, right off Route 10, constant traffic but not too loud. Immaculate warm pool and spa. Good place to stay when traveling in the area. Very friendly and helpful staff. Perfect Fall-Winter stop for snowbirds

Stinks, I wouldn't recommend coming here, Memberships Only... They offer free nights in exchange for presentation to sell time share type of Deal. They won't let you come alone you have to bring your wife, girlfriend or boyfriend husband, so they can get double the odds of closing for a time share.

Came here for the free trial they offered, I decided not to buy it as I am on somewhat of a budget right now but I really enjoyed my stay. My husband had fun with the kids at the fishing pond. Will be returning when I get a chance

We drove through the park to see if it would be good for future use. Shirley, maybe Sharon, who greeted us at the entry gate, was wonderful. Thank you for having a positive attitude and for being so helpful. I look forward to visiting in the future. Sorry, I forgot her name.

I could give it 5 stars if The security staff at the Campground were friendlier and kinder, especially the old women at the pool and they did something to block the noise from the freeway. The park is very nice and clean, the pool, restrooms, laundry, and showers are awesome the people are very friendly.
