Beautiful park. Outstanding campground. Very clean. Well spaced with trees/ bushes between most sites.

We stayed back in September at this campsite and it checked all the boxes. The views were absolutely beautiful—perfect for relaxing mornings and peaceful evenings by the fire.

The sites were easy to access, with solid concrete parking pads that made setup quick and stress-free. Full hookups (water, electric, and sewer) worked perfectly the entire stay, which made everything super convenient.

One of the highlights was the fire ring—it was ideal for cooking and we ended up making some really great meals right at our site.

The campground also has a nice playground, which is great if you’re traveling with kids, and the showers were clean and well-maintained—always a big plus.

Overall, a comfortable, scenic, and well-equipped spot that I’d definitely come back to.

I recently spent time at Cheyenne Mountain State Park and it is easily one of the most beautiful outdoor spaces in the area. The views are incredible, with wide open landscapes and stunning mountain backdrops that make you feel like you are miles away from the city.

The trails are well maintained and offer something for everyone, whether you are looking for a peaceful walk or a more challenging hike. It is also a great spot for biking and wildlife watching. I was impressed by how clean and well cared for everything is, from the trails to the facilities.
What really stood out to me is how peaceful it feels. You can truly disconnect, get some fresh air, and reset while still being just a short drive from town.

If you are looking for a place to enjoy nature, get active, or simply take in some amazing Colorado scenery, this park is definitely worth visiting.

My family stayed at one of their cabins. It was nice all the amenities of home but in an outdoor environment. It's right across from Fort Carson, so convenient if you're visiting Colorado Springs but still want to "camp" without the need to bring everything.

While the park is situated close to town, it is still wonderfully peaceful. Yes, you can hear loud cars on 115 from time to time, and Ft. Carson is right across the highway with all of its associated noises, but this is still a fabulous park.

There great hiking and mountain biking trails to be had and it was not super busy at all. But we were here the second weekend of November.

This state park is one of the best RV friendly places we've stayed at so far.  Easy access for any rv up to 40', possibly longer.  Extremely clean park, including the restrooms 🚻!!
Lots of wildlife here.  We have seen Mule Deer, turkey, prairie dogs, and other native animals.  We totally enjoyed the stay and wish we were able to stay much longer. However, our journey only included 2 days here.  Very close to all major Colorado Springs attractions!!
Make sure you plan to make reservations way before going there. It's obviously a very popular campground. We were lucky to get the ada spot two weeks in advance. There was no other non ada available for more than 4 weeks of advance checks we made.

Very clean, private sites. Laundry services available.  Walking trails.  Good base camp for Colorado Springs,  Pikes Peak, Garden of the God's, Royal Gorge.

This is one of the most beautiful parks, views are fantastic, weather wonderful. You can hike trails even with your dog, you can go bicycling. Plus it’s close enough to the city to shop or go to restaurants. And it’s extremely clean!!

Cheyenne Mountain State Park is a beautiful and peaceful spot for hiking, biking, and relaxing in nature. 🌿 The trails are well-kept, the restrooms are spotless, and the picnic areas are perfect. 🧺 The visitor center is lovely, and the rangers are super friendly and helpful. A must-visit in Colorado Springs! 🌄💚

I went for a sunrise hike with my pup. Most trails dogs are prohibited. The trails dogs are allowed on are closer to and weave in and out of the campgrounds.

The facilities looked nice and new. The RV campsites had views of the plains and sunrise to the east and Cheyenne mountain to the west. Tent sites looked level and were scattered throughout the scrub oaks.

I likely won't head back to hike since I can't bring my dog but will take my wife to one of the picnic areas. It is directly across from gate 2 of fort Carson and is in very close proximity to Colorado springs.
