Our clamping tent was awesome (except we had no solar powered LED lamp that worked)  Camp host brought us her personal lantern to use for our stay.  Thank you so much for your hospitality and extra blankets!!!

The surfside RV was great  had all amenities needed our redwoods days trips, the commodore pit was nice at night and the surfside tv faces the water for optimal sunsets and star gazing at night.

Check in was very easy and the staff onsite are very nice and accommodating.

The location is in the middle of many great hikes and the Klamath beach . Our favorite was The grove of the titians.

This is a clean and beautiful park. The grounds are very well taken care of. The little touches really add to the charm of the place. The staff are incredibly friendly and endeavor to make your stay as pleasant as possible. I highly recommend this park.

Expectations vs reality was disappointing. The website is a little misleading. We rented an RV of theirs and the photos make it look nearly brand new and spacious. When we got there it looked much older. A bit shabby and very cramped for 4 people. Couldn't find a playground anywhere which was a major reason we took our kids there. Thankfully the toilet was working. We didn't use the kitchen for cooking but it appeared to have everything functioning.
The gorgeous view of the river was blocked by the metal ramp that was pulled up.
The people seemed friendly enough but we were out in the area most of the day. Located close enough to the redwoods so that was convenient.
As mentioned the river is gorgeous. We saw lots of wildlife and were able to take a little walk down to the river.
All in all it was an ok experience.

We really enjoyed camping here! Jeanette and crew were so kind and helpful, we really appreciated the excellent experience! The park is well kept and the tent camping areas are large and accommodating! We will definitely recommend camping here! Thank you so much for the awesome customer service!

Not a resort but an ok stop. With so many other options in the area can’t say I’d return. Many sites are buddy, all are slim and had the park been full we wouldn’t have fit, dog area was nice, “amenities” only available for 2 two hour shifts a day while we were out exploring and because of that shouldn’t be listed as amenities. Did the job, no issues with functional hookups, work campers were helpful and other guests were nice and welcoming.

The photos show the best parts and leave out the permanent residents. I felt unsafe and left after 30 mins. One of the other guests/residents could hardly control her larger dogs. I felt like she was about to be drug across the campground by her dogs.

We were upgraded to Meadowview because the Riverview VRBO had a broken refrigerator. The mobile home has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, a kitchen, and a den. The location was perfect. One of the two drive thru a Redwood tree is 1.8 miles away. The Trees of Mystery were about 5 miles away. Walking trails weren’t far either.
We enjoyed our stay.

This is a beautiful location and check in was very easy (envelope with info was on the door of office). I was never able to access any staff in the 4 days we stayed however. The grounds were clean, water was hot, but the bathrooms were very dirty- spider webs all over, super dirty walls (blood wiped on inside of the toilet stall for the whole time I was there) and shower stalls were really dirty. Laundry facility was clean.

Nice campground on the river.  Location was perfect on the 101 just north north of the river to explore the Redwood Forest north and south.  Some of the renters are long terms but it was very quiet and clean.

This place was AMAZING! Our camper was clean. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. The scenery was absolutely beautiful. I would highly recommend staying here if you are in the area.

Leaving a review after spending a last minute summer, from June-Oct. We found this great location and decided to change our entire summer plans to stay here. Great staff, great neighbors, great location to all outdoor activities. Casinos nearby with cheap gas! Nightly fire on the river provided by resort made for fun times and lots of new friends. We have already reserved our spot for next summer and hope to make this our summer location for years to come!

The manager was very friendly and helpful. We loved our site near the Klamath River. Every morning we woke up to a gorgeous view. The sites are wide so you wouldn’t be tightly packed between other RVs. We visited in February, so there were very few RVs at all.

This is a great smaller park on the river. Super nice staff, clean bathrooms,  coin laundry on site. Grass and level sites. We stayed here with a 32 ft travel trailer pulled by a truck. Pull through and back in lots.

Pleasantly surprised. $45 full hookup. Close to your neighbors but the park feels safe. No internet data from att or TMobile but they have free park WiFi. If you drive around Abit you can find a signal strong enough to stream. A little buffering but we can live with it. Kid and dog friendly. Feels safe. Don't miss this stop on the water.

Nice place but laundry room needs updating

Chinook RV Resort is a beautiful well tended park on the Klamath River. By the amount of house chest freezers  and boats in front of a lot of rigs I would say the river is full of fish ready to be caught! It is grass areas to park and very level, so no extra blocks under the wheels, the facilities are clean and well taken care. The laundry facilities are nice, and the people are friendly! There is a area by the lake with benches and a fire pit, wood is provided for a safe campfire gathering place. They do accept Passport America discount, I would highly recommend this park.
