Chugach/Ptarmigan Creek
The Chugach Ptarmigan Creek is a small stream located in Seward, Alaska. It is a tributary of the Resurrection River and is part of the Chugach National Forest. The creek is home to a variety of wildlife, including the Chugach ptarmigan, a species of grouse that is native to the area. Love going here; been here a handful of times. This was one of the only campgrounds that still had a couple sites open and I had been to all the campgrounds from Girdwood to Cooper Landing before headed towards Seward

Secluded and clean. Definitely one of the nicest (and cheapest) primitive sites we have been to!

Small.Quiet. Fit our 24' trailer easy and kids had fun running around. The hike up to the lake it easy and beautiful.
