Nice small campground. Great hike along a salmon stream to a secluded lake.

Amazing hike through lust green forest , beautiful flowers & gorgeous views though-out 👌

Very beautiful spot to view salmon! However, lots of people fishing there when they aren’t supposed to be. There are clear guidelines on dates/times for fishing. September isn’t listed. U.S. Forest Service should do some rounds in this area.

Great spot for wilderness camping. Cleared, level sites for tenting or parking a camper. No electric or shower hookups. Toilets within easy walking distance. Best to make reservations. Sites fill up quick. Lots of hiking opportunities. Bring bear spray.

Just returned from my yearly weeklong stay at this campground. Enjoyable as always. Lots of privacy from the neighboring sites on the side, but rather direct view straight at the sites opposite, depending on what site you choose. I tend to create a tarp wall so I'm not staring right at someone for a days at a time. Had 1 bar of 4G cell service (Verizon) which was enough to send texts just fine. Not a whole lot of activity to get into nearby, other than the trail to the lake. Near enough to Seward for a day trip for cruises and such. Wildlife spotted this year at the campground: steller jays, squirrel, shrew, rabbit, bald eagle.

This was amazing! We took a quick fishing trip here. Definitely think that anyone that is thinking about coming here, you should come.

Always a relaxing spot to stop on the way to Seward

Love going here; been here a handful of times. This was one of the only campgrounds that still had a couple sites open and I had been to all the campgrounds from Girdwood to Cooper Landing before headed towards Seward

Secluded and clean. Definitely one of the nicest (and cheapest) primitive sites we have been to!

Small.Quiet. Fit our 24' trailer easy and kids had fun running around. The hike up to the lake it easy and beautiful.

Make reservations before coming here, there were many people who tried to get a site without one and they just ended up turning around (4th of July weekend). The site itself was more secluded than other campgrounds I've been to which was a plus, I couldn't really see the neighboring sites. No amenities besides a toilet.
