This is a great park in a great location. If you hit the salmon run at the right time you can be right in the middle of the action without having to fight as much for parking. We missed the run by a few weeks, but loved our stay. We have a 44ā fifth wheel and the loops are too tight for our trailer. But we reserved a site right at the entrance to the loop and were able to get in with a little effort. Thereās plenty of privacy. We enjoyed our stay and would go back.

Love this park! Beautiful walkway along River. Saw bears, eagles and lots of people fishing . Private campsites. Need reservation but we were able to get one during the height of fishing season. Keep checking website for cancellations.

Sites are wooded, with lots of room between each one. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Very well maintained trails. Easy steps down to the river. Beautiful views in every direction. Fishing is great! Bonus: you might see a bear or two.

I tried to hike the Russian River Falls Trail. The hike was just to hard for my old knees. I wanted to see the bears feeding on sockeye salmon at the falls, they did report about a week earlier bears were there.

Beautiful setting. Woodsy. Quiet. Trails to falls and Russian River fantastic. Great, friendly workers. Peaceful. Fishing was great per fishermen there.

We love coming to the boardwalk and seeing the fishermen, or for fishing, or for just walking and bear watching. š» š£ Bring cash for parking. No credit cards. $10 cash (last time we went).

Do not go on the "Upper Lake" trail!! It is very overgrown, and it doesn't tell you how far it is. We finally went down a dry creek bed to the lake and walked out along the lake. Saw fresh bear scatt and moose tracks, but no animals. It's beautiful, but know it a long hike!

One of our favorite stops camping - highly recommended! We fished for steelhead at the Russian River confluence and it was a fantastic location. Spent time along the river bear watching and relaxing. The river walk is VERY well maintained - a gem of a camping, fishing and day hiking experience.

Gorgeous location. We came early June, no bears seen, but each site has a big bear storage for your coolers and items. The toilets were pit toilets, they did have running water spouts. No garbage so you must carry in and out. Decent mosquitos but they weren't biting. Bring firewood or stop at gwin's for ice and firewood and anything else you need. They are working on the road in so it's gravel in parts. Beautiful place and great hikes.

Love love love this spot! RV lots are spacious and private. Lots of easy access to the Russian River for fishing as well as the confluence. Tons and I mean tons of brown and black bears which we thoroughly enjoyed. Just use common sense and be bear aware! We went towards the end of the first salmon run, early July, which was perfect to avoid the mobs I'd seen just a week or so prior and we still caught fish. Can't recommend this place enough and it's super cheap. No electric or water but we knew that in advance so we're prepared.
