Nice campground and day use area. Each site has table and fire place. Drinking water is available from a manual pump near a campsite. The day use area has limited gravel parking, tables and fire places. Easy access to the river. No litter. Restrooms had pit toilets but were clean. Pay fee for camping at host site. Was posted $15. Day use appears to be free. The drive in is on a narrow winding paved road.

The camp hosts Dale and his wife are the best! They are hands down the absolute best camp hosts I've had the pleasure of meeting. Always outside waiting to help folks! I had issues with a solar generator and they would let me charge it off of their unit! Never ever got that help from anywhere or any other camp hosts. I stayed two extra days because I was treated so kindly. Primitive sites with fire wood for sale with a smile.

Beautiful Area and Very Well Maintained and Great Place to Relax In a Peaceful Setting But Also Very Popular So Get Reservations Way Ahead Of Time. Too Bad The Rest Of The Mountain Is Private Property Now and Not Very Camper Friendly.

Great stay with my daughter. Camp hosts were friendly, attentive & helpful. Camp sites were clean, bathrooms were well kept & accessible , there was a trail from campsite down to river access , it's not wheelchair friendly but a nice convenience otherwise

Great spot for some camping. Couple trails to walk around. Right on the river. Sites are well maintained with a great staff. Crawfish all over the river. I didn't find a really good spot to fish on the river. 4 miles or from the camp site you can go to lost lake.

A beautiful, clean, well layed out camp ground, friendly hosts, firewood for sale. BUT: Watch out for the "Cows Parsnip" that is around camp ground, my son has 3rd degree burns from touching this plant (it looks like GIANT queen annes lace), but is extremely toxic and if it gets in your eyes can even cause blindness. I put a notice in with USFS and through the state but am warning everyone about this horrible plant. When the sap gets on your skin and sunlight reacts with the sap it can cause these burns. Its very painful. (Heracleum maximum, commonly known as cow parsnip. It is also known as American cow-parsnip, Indian celery, Indian rhubarb or pushki)

First the host, Terry was awesome, very knowledgable of the area and conditions in the area. The restrooms were clean and ample for the number of campsites that are available. ODFW needs to update the fishing and hunting status though. The river is recovering from this years heat and warm waters for the trout fishing, but the deer population in the area also seems to be affected. Only suggestion more level campsites for campers.Other then that highly recommended! Beautiful area and great people to meet.

The campgrounds looked very nice right on the river but were full, so were all the other campgrounds in area but we found a dispersed campsite and had a really awesome time on the Nehalem River.

Beautiful campground on the side of the river with picnic tables, fire pits, and outhouses. Great driving experience just going out there. Worth the journey to be in such a scenic place. If you ever want to get away from it all, think about heading over there.

Been going to this park for many years! It's a great little get away. The park looks the best I've ever seen.Very clean and we'll maintained.Trails to the river are trimmed. The only sad thing is the river is so low.
