Coconino/Clear Creek RV Park - Camp Verde, AZ

We have been coming to Clear Creek Campground for six years, and we absolutely love it. This campground is everything a campground should be — beautiful, clean, quiet, and well organized. A big reason for that is the host, Lauren, who truly knows how to run the campground.
The restrooms are always exceptionally clean, and Lauren is always friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable whenever we have questions. He makes everything easy, from keeping the firewood bundles and ice well stocked to making sure campers have what they need.
One time our vehicle would not start, and Lauren went out of his way to help us get it running again. His kindness and willingness to help really stood out to us.
Lauren is exactly the right person to host this campground, and he plays a huge part in why we continue coming back year after year. The location is beautiful, but it’s also the excellent job Lauren does that keeps us returning. This campground consistently exceeds our expectations.

I took my family camping by here for our first time and the camp host Loren was absolutely amazing walking us through how everything worked and just coming by often to check on us and see if we needed anything. Each camping spot is very large and can fit at least 3 to 5 tents.  We enjoyed our spot at number 6 which was close to the bathrooms. The trails nearby and the watering area for the kids to swim was awesome. We enjoyed fishing for crayfish and releasing them back. Absolutely beautiful site and amazing host !

I’m not sure about other campers, but my family and I highly recommend this place. First of all, we came with four cars and when we arrived, the campground was full but the camp host, super friendly, work it out with us. It was like a miracle and the camp host was an angel in disguise. The campground is beautiful, has restrooms, drinking waters, dumpsters, creek is right next to the campsite, and there’s service to access internet. Also, the dirt road to the campground is less than a mile. Would go again in the future!

We had such an amazing weekend here! The area is beautiful, the perfect mix of dessert and forest. The creek is crystal clear and has a lot of great swim spots, there are a bunch of awesome hiking trails as well. The campground it's self was clean and well maintained, the bathrooms were always clean and stocked. Firewood and ice is available from the host. I'm not sure if they take cards, I just brought cash. Can't wait to go back, it's the perfect distance for a quick get away from the city

Clear Creek Campground is a beautiful and well-maintained destination that is truly worth visiting. The campground is clean, thoughtfully cared for, and supported by a friendly and welcoming staff. Campsites vary in size, with a mix of reservable sites and first-come, first-served options, making it accommodating for different camping needs.
One of the highlights of Clear Creek is the water. It is crystal clear, refreshing, and especially enjoyable during the summer months. The water is conveniently located within walking distance from the campground. While we have also visited during the winter, the colder temperatures make summer the ideal season to fully enjoy the area.
The restrooms are consistently clean and well maintained, with regular daily cleaning. Overall, Clear Creek Campground offers a peaceful and enjoyable experience, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing outdoor getaway.

Didn’t make a reservation, but 4 spots available. No services except pit toilets . Was $27/ night in Jan 2026. There was a camp host, sold firewood for$10/bundle.

An excellent Campground! Enjoyed the peaceful nature and the camp host was very nice and helpful.

We came here on Friday the 10th and we were not able to make any kind of reservations and the kid said there was first come first serve spaces when we are rent arrived. The guy was very rude. Was making excuses about renting a spot to us said he had no spaces available and then said he had a certain ones available told us to go look at them, and then when we asked to rent the space, he told us that we were going to be evacuated which we understood about the weather, but it seemed like he was very racial and then he said that there was no kids allowed on the premises which it’s a campground you pay money to enjoy yourself. Kids should be allowed to be on a campground and camping is for kids to play around in and he said that that was not the place. We went to a different place and it was amazing. He should be taught how to have customer service and great attitude with others do not go to this place if I can get zero stars, that’s what it would be absolutely

Great location and the the site was very well maintained (especially the campground).  It would have been nice if there were more trees as well.

PS. No goons were seen but we had run in with 2 skunks and were overrun with ants

Great campground close to some water to keep it cool during the summer months. Nice shade trees around the campground keep it cool as well. The camp host was really friendly and also ran a tight ship. Kept the noise down and rowdy campers at bay. Cool weekend camping spot! Thanks Loren!

Host Brian was amazing!Place was clean and neat.Quiet and peaceful.Spaces too close to each other but area big enough.Price was little too much.We will come back for the good things.

We spent the Weekend (2/18/22-2/20/22) up Here for Our First Camping Trip of the Year & Our First Time at this Camp Ground. I must say it was a Good Find & Relaxing for Us. Camp Ground Host - Brian was So Nice & Personable. The Sites were Clean, as well as the Rest Rooms & They have Water spickets available for Washing Your Hands and Your  Dishes. We will Definitely Be Returning Customers for Future Camping Trips.

A really beautiful place very clean restrooms very clean and properly taken care of property. The gentleman taking care of everything and managing the place was very nice very helpful and very kind. Absolutely had a wonderful time it will be going back there a lot.

We tent/truck camped at this campground in early November 2021.  Environmental toilets, cement picnic table and fire ring with some shade trees in our tent sight #10.  Paid $18
Quiet and peaceful when we were there and tent sites were full, but RV sights had availability.
Walked along the river in the morning which was beautiful and invigorating.  We woke up to 44 degree temps and had no heat.  Thankfully, as Minnesotans we are used to the cold.
Earlier in the day we used our hammocks along the road into this campground down by the cool beautiful river bed that had a canopy of trees around it.  It was peaceful and relaxing.
Definitely would come back, but we were told all of the AZ Forest Campgrounds are being converted to online only registrations.  BOOOOOO!!!!
