I didn't get to spend much time but the time I did spend I really enjoyed the park. It was really nice and very clean. Groundsmen were considerate of visitors and polite.

Beautiful campground with historic sites right there as well. We loved walking around and visiting the museum so close to our site. This is one of our new favorite campgrounds. They have blacktop for RVs and full hookups and nice grass spots for tents with fire pits and picnic tables. Warm showers and clean bathrooms plus laundry! Playgrounds for kids to play at. Most importantly the staff of the park and camping hosts were AMAZING!! So incredibly kind and helpful.

We had a wonderful time camping. The people were friendly. The grounds were gorgeous and well kept. The shower house was air conditioned and clean. The museum was educational and hosted. The small town of Columbus was welcoming. We enjoyed visiting Jen’s Place and the Beards & Roses General Store. We definitely hope to go back in the future!

Excellent clean park! Grassy, shady tree-filled park. Blacktopped. Full hookups, laundry, showers. Overlooking the Mississippi River. COE needs to trim along the banks for a better water view. It is an old fort too, so historic views, overlooks, playground, picnic areas, shelter houses, historic museum to tour, all just a short jaunt up a nice paved road or on the blacktop trail provided. Fire rings provided. Good place for walking around the park area safely.

Snack bar is open seasonally. Very pretty park with great river view. Some of the history placards are obviously favorable to the Confederacy so I docked a star.

Only been a few times.. Still havent gotten to c everything just yet!! But today was the first time i have been when the little concession stand was still open!! It was so good!! We will definitely b going bk.

Beautiful place to go see. I always like to learn a little history. Stop in at the museum. And snack bar the people there are nice and helpful.

We played minature golf and had a little picnic lunch. We enjoyed it very much except for the hills we had to climb to get anywhere. Our age and physical health made it almost impossible. Sincerely , The Jones

It's a really great place to take your family. There is a lot of history there if you take the time out to read what they have about some of the stuff there and if your willing to go through the museum.
