My wife and I have recently stayed here and OMG where to start!? Aside from being absolutely beautiful, this park has amenities beyond expectations! They have walking trails and mountain bike trails surrounding the lake. The park has multiple playgrounds for the kid in all of us. The park also has multiple pavilions available for rent for your next event. The wildlife is often visible while walking or driving along the paths.

Our Camp Hosts, Ms Carron & Ms Lori, are AMAZING! They greeted us as soon as we pulled into the site. We were provided with park rules and information regarding the amenities. The RV site has water and electricity hookups and a dump station. The site also has air conditioned bathrooms and showers, with laundry facilities on site as well.

Arkansas is known for being the “Natural State” and this park is an excellent example of why! To the crews who work diligently to keep the park clean, open, and safe, thank you! Your dedication to the community has been noticed and is greatly appreciated!

We stayed one night in the RV park. It is a great set up for campers. Water and electric, no sewer but a dump station on the way out. The park has a lake, bike trails, a walking trail(no bikes), playgrounds and pavilions. It is a real community gem. Verify the address if you use Compendium for directions as they have the administration office address listed which is nowhere near the park.

It’s a high-quality, well-maintained park with a lot to do. I ran the lake loop and checked out the bike trail, and both were in great shape, scenic, and just really enjoyable. We also saw lots of wildlife, which made it feel even more like a true nature escape.
I was also really impressed with how family-friendly it is — the playgrounds for kids are excellent, with multiple areas that look like they’re actually designed for kids to have a blast (not just an afterthought).
If you’re in the area and want a park that’s great for running, biking, and just being outside, Craighead Forest Park is absolutely worth a visit.

We had such a wonderful stay at Craighead Forest Park. The lake is absolutely beautiful and full of wildlife, which made for such a peaceful and scenic experience. It’s also very dog-friendly, which is a huge plus for us.
The RV sites are all paved, and each one comes with a fire ring and picnic table, along with water and electricity hookups. The park itself is relatively quiet, making it a perfect place to relax and unwind. Pricing is very reasonable for everything you get.
The bathhouse was clean, and the showers had great water pressure with very hot water—definitely appreciated after a long day outdoors. The only downside is that there are just two showers, which could be a bit limiting during busier times.
Overall, this park is truly beautiful and absolutely worth the stay. We would definitely come back!

Very nice place to bring the family or come alone to get some peace and quiet with beautiful scenery or even exercise  whatever it is you are looking for. Always feels safe to be out here and have no problems letting the kids play at the playgrounds without having to be glued to the hip. The playgrounds are kept up well for the most part and the bathrooms are as good as you can get as some people are just naturally nasty people.

This was a very clean park. My oldest boy and I stopped in on a recent trip to stretch our legs. Great walking trails, bike trails, fishing. We found 3 playgrounds, all very nicely maintained. We will be back when we are in the area!

Great place for gateway to nature in Jonesboro. Scenic and marked walking trail and ample of seating space. Free parking in different Access Zones to the lake.

The parks were clean, and there's TONS to do. Loads of different parks for kids to play on. If you want to walk a trail, there's miles of it and every inch is brightly lit by motion activated light poles, and the layout actually makes sense. It's easy to get in and out. If you want to skate or bike, there are course's to run. There's a splash pad if it's hot, and places to fish too. Plenty of fun for everyone, and it's all completely free.

This park’s walking trail is designed surrounding the reservoir. Good place for everybody specially for families with kids. Swimming is not allowed but kayaking and boats are allowed.

Beautiful park with great walking trails. Plenty of covered pavilions for events. There are several playground areas for the kids and docks to fish.

Had an absolutely fantastic time. Plenty of playgrounds, all well cared for. Places to fish and walk, all kinds of animals. It's just over all great to visit with the family. My husband camped her back in October and was treated very well by staff and enjoyed his stay.

Had some old Army buddies we haven't seen in 50 years. They had a great place for their motor home. Tim is a veteran, and he stayed 2 nights for $15 each night. I personally think all veterans should be able to camp at our park with a discounted rate. Or even free. They sure didn't mind. They thought our park was so beautiful. Because it is. So thankful for a little piece of heaven right out of town.

The tent camping areas were perfect. Everything was clean and well kept. The camp host,Norman was very nice and very good representation of what you get at this campground. I came camping with my dog on my motorcycle and I was able to have a nice evening with unlimited free firewood included in the $10 site! What a steal!
