Very pretty state park. Nice, spacious rv sites with Electric (only) with nearby water. Also popular even in November. Takes reservations, but terrible access if you need to speak with a person. Bathroom/showers need serious attention.

Great location. Bath house is clean. There is a dump station and near the dump station is a potable water hook up to fill your water tank. Sites do not have water hook ups.

Campgrounds were clean and very nice. We even had a small hickup of locking ourselves out of the vehicle, and the hosts were very nice in helping us call a locksmith early in the morning.

Great place to tent camp and rv camping. The host and cohost are taking great care of the grounds. The host leave the campers to themselves unless something is wrong or you need them. There is a boat launch one minute from the campground. No full hookup however there is a dump station and pottable water available. There are showers and bathrooms in the campground.

The camp sites are very nice but that the best thing I can say. Before hand I knew sites didn't have water, but by the map I found there was a water supply right by my site. We got all set up and went to fill my tank, but the water spigot is not designed to connect a common hose to. SO NO WATER for the weekend. After walking the camp ground the sites in the back do have spigots you can connect a hose to in various locations. And there is one at the dump station area. Now for the bath house. My daughter saw a rat run into a hole behind the middle stall. Also if you like to have warm water or even control the water temp, these showers do not have this option. You have to press a button and you get what you get. Plus this bath house was not keep very clean. Two weeks before our stay I tried to get ahold of staff to ask some question. If they would have answered their phone maybe I would have known about the water hook up options. There is a camper there marked "Camp Hoist" but never saw them or any staff the stay. We ended up leaving a day early. After this being a 6 hour drive to get there, I probably will not be back.

Cedar point campground is very beautiful. The sites are stretched out and it's not as dense as some. It's shady and you have fire rings and picnic tables. I love how the underbrush is low enough to hike through. Hot showers. Much better than most. Host is nice and they do a great job keeping it natural. No bright lights and light pollution.

We’ve been camping here for many years now and never had a bad experience. The camp hosts have always been very helpful, the sites are large, wooded and most are a decent distance from the neighboring sites. Bathhouse is normally clean and well maintained. There is electric at each site but no sewer or water so you just need to keep an eye on your tank levels. There is a dump station onsite though. We use a portable tote so we don’t have to move the entire when we need to dump a tank. Reserve well in advance though as they stay pretty booked up. This isn’t a resort type campground so you’ll have to drive to see and do things but that’s why it’s our favorite. We love the feel of being in the woods here, instead of being in some lighted parking lot like some campgrounds.

Great place for semi-boondocking. They have electric hookups only. There are water spigots scattered, and a dump station. The bathhouse has hot showers. There are only around 30 sites so it isn't crowded and each site has lots of room. The sites are flat with a paved pad and room for tents. You make reservations at recreation.gov and there is a discount for senior pass holders. It fills up fast, so you might only have single night openings. The area around it is very wooded with boat access to the waterway close by. Lots of cleared hiking and bird watching.

Small, well-maintained, nice campground tucked in off N.C. 49, just north of Cape Carteret. Very convenient to Emerald Isle and the rest of Bogue Banks. The campground itself is low key. There's a bathhouse (kept clean and stocked), electric at each site and water along the road each 4th or 5th site for filling jugs. There's also a dump station, a potable water hose for filling tanks, and a dumpster. Each site has a picnic table and one of the best designed firepits I've ever encountered in a campground. The showers are in a separate part of the building from the toilets. The rooms with the toilets are heated but the shower rooms are not (but the water is hot). The camp hosts were friendly and helpful. We were there in February, and there were probably only a dozen trailers and one or two tents, so only at about 25% capacity I would guess. The campground is part of a Forest Service area that also has a boat ramp and a short but enjoyable trail across marshes, etc. Bookable through recreation.gov.

Helpful host. Clean restrooms. Well maintained. Great fire rings. Restrooms (with sinks, toilets) are heated, well stocked, clean, accessible. Nearly always empty on my stay. Showers are separate, individual rooms, and large! Those, however, were not heated. Brrrr.

Pretty area. Nice host. Easy and pretty trails. Would help to have more "water options". Other than that, all good. Its worth the trip 🏕🏝🚎

We have been here several times and loved it each time.
