Location is nestled at base of beartooth mountains and is convenient for a stopping off point before jumping into northeast Yellowstone but long stays would be limiting with activities. Red lodge is near but there are closer options. Lake is not designed for good fishing rather scenery. Campsites are nice but camp attendant was hopped up on something or just anger issues. Not all campsites have bear proof cabinets or have functioning grills. Potable water is single source. Honestly 1-2 nights is more than adequate

Very much enjoyed. Host for 2023 very friendly and did a great job with the cg!

Nice campground for the family. Lake seems to be fished out though. Good trails nearby too.

Close to a trailhead with an easy walk to a lake. Along Rock Creek. Quiet and clean. Early morning visit from a moose.

Very pretty, love the creek that runs through it. Wasn't busy at all!

We love this campsite. Only 4 stars this time because the camp hosts did not do their jobs. An unleashed dog came into it campsite scaring our 2 little dogs, and the outside was it of toilet paper. The doubled camping fees from last year should cover toilet paper.

Wonderful vistas

On a recent roadtrip, this was the most beautiful place we stayed. There's a lot of distance between many of the campsites. The lake is an easy walk, and very beautiful. Just a great place to stay. Not fancy, not super primitive, it's a "Goldilocks" campground - just right.

Nice no frills campground with plenty of space between most sites. Some sites are right on the river.
