This was our second time in Holly Bay Campground. This time was as good as the first time. The bathrooms are very clean as well as the campsite. The campsites are very spacious and there is plenty of space between them.

Had a wonderful and relaxing time here. At times we felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. Sites were clean and spacious and the trails around the lake were nice. The hike down to the lake was steep but loved being able to leave kayaks and such on the water for the duration of the stay. Our campground host Gino met us at arrival and shared some local tips. Thank the lord he told us how amazing the cliffs were back in Craig’s Creek otherwise we would not have found or made the journey all the way back there. Thanks so much Gino!

Great location in the Daniel Boone National Forest . Very spacious sites , clean facilities , marina and boat ramp nearby and some sites have water path walkways to get down to the lake .

This was our first time here. We absolutely loved it. We were in H6 and H7. Kind of a steep walk to the lake but worth it. We just had bathrooms on our loop, but we could drive or hike the trail to the showers in another loop. Our camp host (Gino) was AMAZING!!! There was a cat that came around our site, and we found out that he has been there for around 4 months. He took to us right away, so we ended up bringing him home to NC. So, if this is your cat let me know. Definitely our favorite campground so far. We will be back!!!

Beautiful campground. Well maintained. Laurel Lake is so clean and clear. We had a site with a private path to the lake which was wonderful. Our site was a double site with plenty of room for us to spread out and not feel on top of each other. It is a 5 minute drive to a clean, sand beach. We will definitely be back.

I would give zero stars if I could.. We booked again this year because we loved it last year. Never again! I called to complain and was told it was a special night.. They did not advertise tonight was "karaoke night". Folks come to the forest for peace and quiet. We drove two hours to listen to screeching cats clear up the road like they were right next to us. I get a night like this, but you don't have to be so loud that other loops can here you! Come to think of it we heard this last year so my guess is this isn't a special occasion. 10pm is too late for a quiet hour. I'm in my camper with the radio going and can still hear the crooning. I want my camper fee BACK.

Really nice camp ground long way from civilization. Star deducted because we showed up to then learn it was cash only for camp spots and the closest ATM was 20 miles away. Update: The host do not shut parties down there was a loud party, music, shouting etc until 2am other then that on Saturday night it was awesome!

The "H" camping loop is tidy and easy to navigate. Bathroom was clean. Nice shade and a trail along the lake.

Do yourself a favor and go to one of the other campgrounds. I'd recommend hiking to the boat in camp sites and staying there if possible. It's much more quiet and relaxing. This is the first time I've been here and I cut the trip short because the campers at the site next to us wanted to smoke pot the entire time they were there and their children wouldn't leave our service dog alone. The managers of the primitive camping area are amazing people but their was one worker at the entrance stand that was completely rude to us and our guests.

Didn't stay here, just did a drive through to check it out and did a hike along the lake. Most sites looked level. Lots of trees and shade. Lots of loops. Some double sites too. Clean. On Laurel River Lake. Peaceful. Hope to stay here soon.
