I visited Deer Creek Conservation Area recently and had a wonderful time. The reservoir and the creek are both beautiful – perfect for kayaking, canoeing, or just sitting by the water to relax. The creek adds a peaceful, natural touch and makes paddling even more enjoyable. The campground was clean and simple, with washrooms and showers that were well maintained. It’s not overly crowded like some bigger parks, which made the visit calm and relaxing. If you’re looking for a quiet spot with good swimming, fishing, and the chance to explore the creek by boat, Deer Creek is definitely worth visiting.

My friend and I went trailer camping for two nights. It’s such a beautiful little conservation area! Our campsite, while a bit on the small side, was lovely location wise. We enjoyed sitting by the fire at night listening to the crickets, cicadas, and frogs- we even heard an owl! It was so peaceful! The park itself, and the washrooms and showers were clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. We ordered firewood. It was very reasonably priced and was delivered to our campsite in a timely manner. I highly recommend Deer Creek Construction Area. We will definitely be returning to camp again before summer is over.

Spent a great day here on my first visit. I explored every inlet and had fun weaving through low hanging branches and fallen trees. The water is exceptionally clear and the banks are steep so you can paddle close to shore without worrying about bottoming out or banging your paddle. Even with the wind, the inlets remained calm. The beach is noisy with kids but the sound goes away quickly as you paddle on. Overall, a great place to explore and enjoy the scenery.

Had a fantastic weekend at Deer Creek Conservation Park. The campsite is small and the facilities are basic, but it has what you need for a good trip. Washrooms and shower facilities were clean and they also have vault toilets at the top of the boat ramp. The park is open for day use as well as overnight camping and there are some seasonal camping spots (not sure about availability). The people at the front gate were super friendly and got me checked in quickly. Firewood was delivered to my camp promptly and they even lent me an adapter plug to connect my extension cord to the outlet post (needed a 30amp to 15amp adapter plug which I didn’t have on me). The boat ramp is fairly steep but straight and the launch is simple for kayaks. The lake itself is plentiful with inlets and interesting structure for holding fish. There are sunfish and panfish a plenty almost everywhere and the lake drops to a decent depth of 40feet or so. Caught myself some rockbass, bluegill and some crappie around the edges. I’m told the lake also has brown trout and rainbow trout but I wasn’t able to entice any of those onto my rod. Some kids caught a pike off the dock while I was watching so they’re in there too. Bass wasn’t yet open but you could see some monster bass right below the surface hugging close to sunken logs and stumps so definitely a good place for bass once season opens. All in all a great little place to visit and fish.
