This is a most excellent place. Tent camping and the site was wonderful. There is a small store just down on the main road. We were there in July 2022 and were thankful for a spot outside the NP. The night before we had stayed in Bryce and I had made a mistake on the paper work for my campsite and Ranger Dan railed on me!! (I think he was having a bad day, but it didn't make my day any better either!) The camp hosts here were friendly, helpful people. I'm sorry to hear about the fires. I'm assuming the campground is gone now. I would have loved to spend more time here.

We were fortunate to land a camp site when we were visiting the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Private sites & very quiet. Firewood is available for purchase at the camp host's site (who was very friendly & helpful). Very convenient to the NP entrance!

We did the first come, first serve site and managed to snag site 1 We carefully fit our 35' camper into it--just no shade and it was July. The staff was really helpful and nice. With your America the beautiful park pass you can park for $15/night.

Wow, did we ever get lucky! We were trying to get there early for FF sites and ended up with a FABULOUS, SPACIOUS pull through, site 7. Dry camping but potable water spigots for water jugs if needed. First of the season so the vault toilets were immaculate. This place was wonderful. Great hosts greeted us. Its like... 5 minutes to the GCNP entrance, gas station (very expensive gas) across the road if needed... which we did.. yikes. Gorgeous setting, dark skies.. probably could have seen a lot more stars if it didn't SNOW 6 inches overnight.

We had a nice 3-night stay here while visiting the north rim of the Grand Canyon. Lucky for us - we weren't able to book a reservation at the Grand Canyon Campground (spaces booked ahead of us) but as it turned out, the campground delayed its opening due to heavy snowfall this past winter. We would have been cancelled and out of luck! We checked into DeMotte on the first day it was open and the first day the Grand Canyon Park was open. Our site was a long pull-through complete with firepit and picnic table. Very dark skies at night. Lovely! This is dry camping with water available for filling jugs, but not your RV and no dump station. Pit toilets. No cell service here. There is at the park near the Visitor Center and Lodge. Gas station across the road has a few groceries as well as propane.

The cleanest pit toilets I have ever seen!! The hosts were amazing and so friendly. Close to the Grand Canyon and there is a store across the street. Not much privacy between the campsites. Would recommend!

This is likely the best campground I have ever experienced. The grounds were clean and manicured, and every space was a good one. Our campground hosts treated us like family and were always helpful. It was obvious they were enjoying the place as much as we were. We really enjoyed visiting with them, they seemed to know all the answers to our questions. Remember the elevation is almost 9000 feet, so go slow.
