The Central City/Denver West KOA is awesome! The staff are fun, friendly, professional, and always ready to assist you. The laundry room is the absolute cleanest and most modern, and with 7 washers and dryers, one of the largest that I have seen in my travels (and we have been to all 48 lower states and Canada). They deliver firewood, and their store has pretty much anything you might need. The showers/bathrooms are super clean, climate regulated, and bright. There are 2 hot tubs, a playground, and a dog park. On our way out, we used their free air compressor to ensure that our tires were inflated properly for the cold mountain air. We had site #22, a pull-in Patio with a table & chairs, fire ring & Adirondacks, and a stunning view that went on forever! It is convenient to historic Idaho Springs, Central City Casinos, Rocky Mountain National Park, Denver, Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre, and many other places worth exploring. We stayed 5 nights. I would have been happy to stay there for a month!

Great KOA with great tent sites (get site T6 if you can!). It's at nearly 9000 feet of elevation, so it's a lot cooler temp-wise than you expect - also no bugs of note (middle of August)! We were able to drive to Boulder from here with great views there and back. I would stay here again. Also the staff were great! And the hot tubs were a nice touch!

Wow! Genuinely such a beautiful place and the staff are beyond kind and helpful. Dre is one of the sweetest people ever and is very patient! James made our breakfast both mornings we stayed ; and I swear it was better than IHOP! Wayne helped us with our maintenance needs and was extremely kind and informative about the area!! We loved staying here and will be back!

We wanted quick camping trip with the family that was reasonably close to Denver. We chose a deluxe cabin at the KOA and it was wonderful. Cabin was great for our family of 4. The price was affordable and the camp grounds had everything and more than I expected. Gift store/ grocery store/ liquor store was fully stocked more than any camp ground that I had ever stayed at. They served pizza and wings at night and pancakes in the morning. Took a dip in their hot tub, played video games and giant checkers with kids. Alot to do. If it wasn't next to the somewhat busy Central City Parkway(quite a bit of traffic noise), this would have been a perfect camping trip.

Our weekend stay was great from the time that we checked in until the time that we checked out. We were greeted as soon as we walked into the office to check in and were helped all the way through that process. Everything that we could have needed or did need was available to us at the office. Our camp site was clean and had great unobstructed views of the mtns and valley from the swing and patio. The campground was fairly quiet which was very nice. After all, isn't that part of the reason that we go camping, to get away from the noise and rat race of everyday life. We will definitely be going back for another stay.
