Central city/ Denver west Beautiful location *BEAWARE** The owner/manager is very hostile, he came pounding on our door Sunday morning with a handful of paper yelling get out of my campground you have 30 minutes to get out. No discussion anything He yanked our power cord out of the power post yelling you have 30 minutes to get out. Seems he had an issue with our surge protector, he didn't like the Hughes autoformer. We have been cross country with that surge protector never had an issue. Wr would have gladly disconnected it had there been sane rational discussion about it. There was a note on the guest guide no voltage regulator allowed but nothing about the Hughes system. Just a heads up folks **BEWARE**

Been coming to Denver West KOA for over 5 years and cannot say enough great things about this place. The Owner is fantastic and so is their very helpful staff. Thanks again for always taking great care of me. See you soon!

We stay at many KOA campgrounds across the US & this campground was outstanding… clean, level sites & wonderful employees & service. A great property. Would definitely stay here again & will recommend to anyone looking for RV sites in the area!

Larry one of the workers here has been very helpful with all questions and helping me with my RV. I’m new to RV’ing. I know they are completing renovations before the season starts, my only recommendation would be more road signs directing traffic where different sites are. They could just be waiting to put them back up.

Our family stayed at this KOA and were very impressed! The location is currently under construction but only a small portion which didn't impact our stay (currently expanding on the far side but on pause during the winter). Otherwise, the views were excellent (site 42), the location was awesome (within 15 - 25 minutes to 3 historic local towns), the amenities were good for the winter and included electric / Sewer with a water fill station, and finally the staff was excellent. I believe his name was Wayne, but the winter caretaker went above and beyond to make sure we were safe and taken care of. Can't say enough and will likely be returning. Also, as a bonus, we were the only campers on the upper portion, and it snowed on Christmas!

Great service even though I never interacted with a staff member there! Sometimes you like to get in, enjoy yourself, and not worry about talking to anyone. The late night check in makes that easy, gotta love it! Great views and the vacation I needed less than an hour away from my city. Check it out!

Excellent place and great staff! As a full-time RVer for four years, we've seen a bunch of campgrounds. This one is a top-five in the US. Amazing views and access to really cool things like gold mines, skiing and wonderful food in Idaho Springs. The family that owns and runs this place is fantastic, supportive and responsive. We stay here all winter and will continue to do so for years.

Absolutely Incredible experience each time ...rarely can you local weekend vacation and feel like you were in another state. great views. extremely clean rooms .. pizza wings etc...to order to your cabin.. just so many moments to the back patio and fire pit ,,,what else do you need ...lastly down the street from the casinos.... Do this!!

This is our third time coming here and each experience gets better. Lot #10 gives the best views of Black Hawk and the gorgeous mountainous backdrop. The staff is super courteous and friendly and the RV campground is constantly well-maintained. I highly encourage others with RVs or tents to visit this lovely campground to enjoy both the mountain fresh air and stunning views.
