I don't know what people are complaining about. Did you not look at pictures? Complaining about the streets at the park? They are fine. What do you want? Streets paved in gold? Complaining about the rocks and can't push a stroller in them. You can't walk a few feet to the sidewalk and put your child in it there? Complaining about all the dust. What do you expect? You're in Arizona, not a tropical rainforest or the Midwest where humidity keeps the dust levels low. Unless, of course, you go to some parts of Iowa where every square mile that's not a highway is gravel and dusty. Unfortunately, some have had their ebikes stolen. We don't have any, but we were warned and I believe there's a sign up by the office or on entering the resort that mentions taking precautions. Overgrown weeds? Sure there are some coming up in the rocks at sights. We had them as well. If it bothered me I would be pulling them out! I've seen the ground keeper out there taking care of them. The people in the office? I've never had a problem or attitude from them. Perhaps those that have were giving off a bad vibe. I don't know. No one likes a sourpuss. If there is anything I could complain about is the road noise from the highways. The cars and trucks and motorcycles that think it's a speedway. But what can you expect? It's Phoenix for pete sake! That's why I gave the location 4 stars. You get used to it. We were there 4 months, loved it! Gradually learning where to go shopping for groceries in better neighborhoods where it wasn't so sketchy. It takes time. Ask around. It's not the resorts fault if you go somewhere that freaked you out. We loved it there and made some great friends from not only permanent residents, but from people from numerous states. We look forward to coming again. This time for 5 months! Be happy and have some pie 🥧

What a lovely community. This RV resort is clean, its residents respectful and kind. This resort offers clean spaces with water, sewer, power is not included in space rental so be prepared for that add On if you choose long term stay. It’s a fair price. Also, this sweet community offers daily activities from morning aquatics class, country line dance class, weekly evening Bingo with cash buy in and cash pay out. They also have a theater group who put together some family friendly performances. We enjoyed the opportunity of watching. This community is very active with pickleball courts, corn hole, mini golf. But, wait there’s more the pool and hot tube and Both Gendered changing showering areas. The only drawback is the early closing time. 9pm is acceptable, however, your competitors offer a 10pm out. All in all we throughly loved our experience.

Had a great 4 night stay for our granddaughters softball tournament jan 22-26. Office staff was very helpful in getting our good sam discount and we had forgotten our card at home. Bathrooms and showers very clean. Friendly folks everywhere in the park. I have one suggestion though. Speed limit in the permanent section is 15. Send a reminder to the long timers that pass through the rv area to 29 th street to drive a little slower. Some were doing well over 30 mph.

Stayed here for around 11 months in my travel trailer while working at a hospital in the area. Found the facility and camp site to be very nice and clean! The staff was exceptional and knew me by first name. They have daily activities, indoor pool, pool table room, laundromat, arts and crafts room, outdoor ice machine and much more! The roads and sites are in great shape, plenty of room to get large campers and rvs in without sweating bullets lol. Pricing was fair and straight forward. Definitely plan to stay here again if I’m in the area!

RVer's BEWARE DO NOT STAY! 11/20/25 - We booked a two week stay here at Desert Shadows RV Resort to visit friends while on our way to our winter destination. We were aware of the reviews concerning E-Bike theft and took all of the precautions to secure our e-bikes upon arrival. In fact, we used ABUS and Kryptonite locks to secure the bikes to the rear wheel of our motorhome (essentially they were double locked) and to each other. At 3:54am on 11/20/25 we were awakened by a grinding noise outside of the motorhome and looked out our bedroom window and there were two men using an angle grinder with sparks flying everywhere cutting the locks. I immediately turned on all lights and opened entry door and looked back and could see them although it was dark and raining. I yelled get out of here and one of the guys yelled back you get out of here and they began to drag the bikes across the rear of the space in the rock. I closed and locked the door and called 911 and Phoenix PD arrived within a few minutes. Two Phoenix PD officers responded, took a report and patrolled the park and local neighborhood for almost an hour with no luck. To our surprise, this park has no cameras and no security at all and is not gated whatsoever allowing anyone and everyone to just drive in. The short term stay spaces for RVer's is located on the two rows as you enter the park providing quick and easy access to those of us RVer's and a quick getaway for thieves. Needless to say, this park is not secure nor safe in this area of town. Will never stay here again and will not recommend to anyone!!

There was too much crime in the area for an rv resort to be un gated. The lock was cut off 2 electric bikes and stolen from a couple on the first and only night they were there 10/10/25. We were advised by residents that it was a common occurrence. We didn’t feel secure staying there. I can’t , for the life of me, understand why they won’t invest in security and/or a gate.

My wife and I tried reserving a spot for 3 nights and were told they would not allow only allow 2 dogs. We have 2 pets and 1 service animal. When we tried to explain that they can’t discriminate against a service animal the manager said that since she can’t discriminate against the animal she would just refuse to rent to us in general. Absolutely uncalled for and I hope she has the day she deserves.

My relatives stayed in the park recently. One of the RV,s near them had their $,2000.00 electric bike cut off the back of their bike rack attached to their RV in the middle of the night. They actually said they could hear the thieves cutting it with some electric saw in the middle of the night. I question why such a big RV park would not invest in a gate at the front of the park as a deterrent which would be a small expense to protect your residents. The Park location is in the City and anyone can come in freely in the middle of the night or at any time. To ownership: Protect your customers and invest in a security gate to protect your residents before something really bad could happen other than a stolen electric bike.

A great place to stay. Family owned and a friendly atmosphere. With my wife we loved it. We made friends and loved the bingo night as karaoke night. We will return there with no hesitation.

Desert Shadow RV Park is hands down one of the best RV parks we've ever stayed at! They truly have everything you could want in an RV park and then some. The full hookup RV spots are spacious and well-maintained, making it easy to get settled in and enjoy the park’s amazing amenities. The covered, heated pool and relaxing hot tub were a perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring. The showers and laundry room are clean and convenient, which made our stay even more comfortable. For those who like to stay active, the on-site gym is a great perk—and when you’re ready for a little fun, you’ve got options! The billiards room, card room, and craft room are all fantastic spaces to connect with others or enjoy some quiet time. We also loved the outdoor amenities—there’s a putting green, corn hole, shuffleboard, and pickleball courts, which kept us entertained for hours. The community atmosphere is welcoming and friendly, and the staff goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is top-notch. If you're looking for a place in Phoenix that feels like a true home away from home with every amenity you could possibly want, Desert Shadow RV Park is the place to be.

I just have to say what a disappointment and extremely poor customer service!!! I was hung up on just because I complained that they wouldn’t allow RVs older than 2010! This is absolutely absurd! My RV is in excellent condition. And they don’t even put it on their website that you must have an RV 2010 or newer! I’m sorry folks but not everybody is filthy rich and can afford to buy a new RV every 10-15 years! Then to be hung up on!!! And on top of that it was just going to be for 2 nights to visit and celebrate my brother-in-law’s 70th birthday! It’s not like I was going to be a permanent resident. This is the worst customer service I’ve received my entire life and I’m 60 years old so there you go! You are losing so much business by being prejudiced! WOW! 😡

We stayed here one night in our RV. We do not have Good Sam but they do offer a 10% discount if you do. Everyone is extremely friendly, we used the hot tub and showers after which was great. It was very quiet at night, even being so close to the highway.

Came into town to visit family for a week. Nice to find a place that doesn’t cost a fortune! I mean after all it’s a space to park an RV, not a hotel! We will be back! It’s affordable & nice!

I went to visit some friends who were staying there. It's nice and clean. Everyone I've encountered seems really friendly, too. The things I notice straightaway are that the lots are pretty close together; the patio you get is pretty small, and the streets despite being letters of the alphabet don't actually go in order. So, if you're on B street, there is no guarantee that your next street is C. It might be G. Maybe that's not a bad thing. Just leave breadcrumbs and enjoy the hunt. :)
