I love Dos Picos and have been camping here for over 50 years. The park and campground are the cleanest you will find in the County and the staff are friendly and helpful, and though there are rules, nobody is standing over you to enforce them. The sites aren't the biggest, but the whole place has an umbrella of trees over it. There is really a sense of privacy and the layout is good, whether you want to be alone, or are camping with a group. It's nice feeling like you are way out in the country, yet knowing if you do need something, it's just a few minutes drive to town. And, as of Nov 2025, firewood is still just $6 a bundle at the campground! There is a lake for fishing, hiking trails,and a nice park and playground and ultra clean, we'll stocked restrooms. Give Dos Picos a try and you'll come back again and again.

The campground is clean and fellow campers were extremely nice! My only wish would be for full hook ups. They do have a dump station on site. There is marked hiking trails, a playground that is a five minute walk, and a fishing pond. This was our second time camping here and we will be back.

I love the cabins and that area, I’ve been there twice and I enjoyed both times. The vibe is great, the cabin is super beautiful and cozy, and it is a beautiful area to sit, hang out, walk and hike outside. I’ve been there with family and we had 2 cabins next to each other. Each cabin is good for 5 people (1 bed for 2 and 3 beds for 1). The details in the cabin are really nice. It is the best place to relax for a night if you live in San Diego. And it also is really clean. The only thing is that the beds don’t have mattress and you need to take them with you.

Nice place, not too hot due to trees & breeze. Nice hikes. Bathroom clean. Quarter shower available. Nice spaces. If crowded, could be loud.

We were super happy with our campsite and the facility in general. Nice little hiking trail over to the duck pond. Not too difficult, and a very beautiful well-groomed trail. Partial hookups for the RV worked as expected. Rangers were friendly, and on a Wednesday night the campground was extremely peaceful and quiet. We will definitely go back!

Outstanding San Diego county park. Stayed overnight. Two weeks prior, Ranger said all Fri/Sat sites booked through October. Plan ahead weeks or more if you want a weekend stay Spring thru Fall. I've also done a day trip to Agua Caliente for some hot springs soaking. That park is no cell service, and closed during Summer due to deadly heat.

Nice park lake area. Very relaxing and beautiful. Nice walking trail...I recommend checking it out but a lot of flying bugs which is probably because of the lake. But don't let that stop you from checking it out. I have allergies. I'm a little picky, but the rest of my family enjoyed everything

Lovely campground. Little get away from san diego just 20 mins away. Good for family and little kids that like wilderness but not travelling too far from city. Feel safe here and they keep the bathroom really clean. Hot shower is 0.50cents for 4 minutes. Partial hook-ups (water and electricity) Plenty of shades

The RV park area is very clean and quiet. Shower is ok could use a little more pressure. Would have been better if our spot had full hookups and pull through for convenience. There is a small walking path that leads to a small pond.

i love dos picos. I recommend and it is fun with friends or family. The guy at the front desk is chill and he always be helping me out with the wood 🥺and after hours 😏. Bathrooms clean and i used them many times. 🚽🧻Do not recommend showering since its pay showers but if you are camping you dont need to be showering anyway. 🤮 Also camp with the right people because I was camping with some morons and they almost got me eliminated in game. My friend slept outside all night in the cold🥶 , we almost ran out of food and the animals were about to get us🐻. Almost a #squadwipe 🔫but we survived. Thank you

Service was cool. Scenic trails, showers get hot. The wood is good quality and the trees have a nice decent shade. this will be a great campsite for beginners and advance campers
