We settled into Eagle View RV Resort at the end of November and quickly realized this was more than just a place to park, it was exactly where we needed to be. Set on the Yavapai Nation Reservation just off SR87, the location places you right at the edge of something special, where the land meets the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community and stretches into the wild openness of the Tonto National Forest. For someone drawn to nature and photography, this place is hard to beat. Access to the desert landscapes and the riparian zones along the Verde River and Salt River is quick and easy, and the presence of wild horses adds something you simply cannot replicate. There were times they wandered close enough to camp to remind you that you are sharing this space, not just visiting it. The resort itself is quiet and well kept, attracting a more mature crowd, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The atmosphere here leans toward peaceful rather than busy, and that suited us perfectly. Manager Derrick clearly knows what he’s doing and handles things with confidence, especially when it comes to the realities of desert living and the occasional critter that comes with it. There’s open desert just across the road where you can stretch your legs and explore, within reason, and still feel connected to the surrounding landscape. Back at the resort, the amenities are solid. A free breakfast each morning in the common area, computers available if you need internet access or printing, and a pool and hot tub that are consistently maintained, with daily cleanings even on weekends. The laundry facilities stood out as well, industrial machines that handle larger loads with ease. At $3.75 a wash and with hot, high-capacity gas dryers, it made it simple to take care of bigger items like blankets and comforters without hassle. Evenings bring a balance that is hard to find. The main roads are well lit for safety, yet the night sky still opens up with a full display of stars. To the west, Red Mountain rises with presence, and to the east, the distant silhouette of Four Peaks catches the light at sunrise and sunset in a way that never gets old. You’re just minutes from Bush Highway and the Salt River, where kayaking becomes an option when the dam releases raise the water levels. Saguaro Lake is nearby as well, drawing visitors to its scenic waters, and for a change of pace, We-Ko-Pa Casino Resort sits just across the highway with great food and entertainment. We spent months here, from November through May, enjoying steady weather in the 60s, 70s, and 80s, a welcome escape from harsher seasons elsewhere. This place gave us exactly what we were looking for, access to nature, quiet surroundings, and a sense of being grounded in the landscape. We will be back in December without hesitation. Very happy with our stay at Eagle View RV Resort at Fort McDowell. We were here during the winter for four nights. Large RV sites, all back-in. Beautiful surroundings, hills skies. Some others have commented how it is HOT here in the summer - yes indeed. There are few trees so if you are coming in hotter months do try to ask the desk for help with a site with a tree (though the trees are not that big) or at least a site where here seating/outdoor area has norther exposure. Very clean facilities including public showers/restrooms and laundry facilities. There's a nice pool and jacuzzi, gym and they serve free breakfast each morning. Lots of high-end rigs this time of year. Along with off-roading vehicles. While this place is not technically what I would call "glamping" the rigs here give that impression. Most people we have met here are snowbirds traveling across the south during this time of year. Location is very convenient. A mile away from the casino, 3 miles away from beautiful Fountain Hills and about 10 miles away from Scottsdale which has everything you could ever want. And did we mention the wild Salt River mustangs? I'm told they come up to the camp from time to time (which we did not see) however their known watering holes are just a short drive away.

I thought this was a wonderful place for our 1st camping trip with our new RV. I loved the spot we got & it had beautiful views. I am definitely coming back here.

Eagle View RV Resort is very nice. The area is beautiful and the resort is very clean. We had a back in site and it was really easy to get set up.

(Update 9/25/25: most of the asphalt had been resealed, so much nicer now!) Great staff, good size sites. Only complaints are that the asphalt is crumbling and hard for my older dog to walk on it. And lots of thorns in her paws. Free ranging cows and wild horses visit regularly. And coyotes.

We stayed at Eagle View RV Resort in Ft. McDowell, AZ in July. It was HOT! I would recommend staying here when the weather is cooler! We did end up having two unseasonably mild days and they were PERFECT! This is a very nice RV Park with a beautiful, clean pool, well-maintained laundry room, and GORGEOUS landscaping. The people who run the park are nice and helpful and very accommodating. We had a lovely view of mountains in every direction, and on our 2 days of cooler weather, we were able to sit out under our awning and lovely shade tree ALL evening and it could not have been more relaxing! We saw wild horses from across the fence that separates the park from the river. The pool has two large shade pavilions, and there are additional pavilions just outside the pool with well-kept grills and picnic tables. Our RV site was site 201 (read this part carefully): Site 201 sits next to a huge shaded area complete with landscaping bushes, and I wouldn't have it any other way. The Arizona sun is not kidding around. It is for real! You want shade. Other sites may have a small tree, and there are plenty of shady areas in the park to walk your dog, but not all sites have trees, and if they do, they are not sufficient to give you enough cover from that damn sun. So, pay attention to the site map, better yet, call and ask about sites they may have available during your stay that have trees. (That is how I got the site I did - thank you, nice lady who chose this one for me based on my request). I will definitely come back during cooler months! We were only here during July because this is when we wanted to visit my daughter (who lives in Scottsdale - 25 25-minute drive away), and this was the only time we could do so.

Awesome RV park with everything you need. It’s in a beautiful spot close to a lot of places to explore. The staff was great and they went above and beyond to accommodate us last minute.

Great customer service! Sites are clean and flat. Has a pool, hot tub, a small gym, restrooms, showers and laundry. A little pricey but it’s the going rate for AZ during the winter.

Would like to rate 4-5 stars but can’t. ISSUES: no hot water (doesn’t the amenity “showers” imply hot water? we weren’t told in advance; other campers said they were aware of this issue for at least two weeks; when we inquired they said it would be fixed in a day or two; after a week for us, still not fixed; no response to our request for a discount); road from the highway needs to be repaved; weak wifi… PROS: Centrally located; garbage pick up; nice spacious clean sites; good lighting; gas station with convenience store nearby…

Great RV resort near the casino. Location is great and the spots and surrounding grounds are great. The laundry facilities and pool are top notch. Very quiet as most of the other patrons are snowbirds. If I had one complaint it was the office staff could have a better attitude and be more grateful of the guests. The new GM is great though and I feel he will turn this place around as I can already see some positive changes.

Really good park with online reservations and payments. No hassle with an office stop or silly escorts to your site. The staff the curious and helpful. Facilities are clean. Good home base for Phoenix on the prettier side of town. Yes the thorns are an issue, but the mother nature.

After driving all day from Albuquerque, NM we came to camp with our very clean well kept 16 foot Scamp and we're asked the age of our trailer, which is 12 years. We were told they do not rent to trailers over 10 years old.. Don't waste your time.

Amazing Resort w/ beautiful views... office staff ruins any possibility of an amazing stay. We have been here 11 months they’ve moved us more than10 times. The office personnel is rude and in accommodating, actually Carrie in the office is rude beyond words, lies to your face, hides under her desk and goes out of her way to be nasty....
