Wonderful state park with lots of picnic areas and beach to walk. Huge evergreens to enjoy. There is a 120 year old mansion to tour if time allows. We had planned to just stop for an hour or so but stayed longer as it was such a beautiful place.

Really beautiful state park with a beautiful trail called the Dolder Nature Trail which we walked very leisurely over a couple hours. It brings you out to a gorgeous and serene beach. The bathrooms were very clean although there were no soap dispensers and thus no soap. In front of the bathrooms there was a sign warning of the plague which is contagious from squirrels and chipmunks. So yeah it would be nice to have e some hand soap in the bathrooms.

This park doesn’t get talked about as much as it deserves! So underrated, highly recommend checking this place out if all the other South Lake Tahoe attractions are full. You’ve got a beautiful view of the lake plus it is located next to a majestic looking mansion with 2 tours per hour.

It is a beautiful place, quiet and plenty of place to park. One thing to suggest is to have more trash cans, because during the weekend lots of people gather by the lake and very limited trash cans available. The gift shop is very small but has tons of things to buy with reasonable prices. The tour to the mansion is great, tons of interesting information you gain and lots of things to see. Kelly was a docent who walked us through the whole mansion and explained everything. She was very knowledgeable and kind. Overall it is a nice place to spend a day and enjoy the weather and beautiful views.

This part of the Tahoe forest is phenomenal, not just for the majestic sugar pines! Trails wind through massive, diverse conifers in a huge chunk of Tahoe. Some of the cedars here are kinda even more impressive than the namesake sugar pines! Lots of young and old growth trees can be found here of almost all of the conifer species that grow in the Tahoe basin! Always love slowly wandering through this park looking up, mesmerized at all the spectacular specimens of Tahoe trees, each with their own story spanning sometimes centuries. For tree lovers, this park is good for the soul.

Ed Z'berg Sugar Pine Point State Park stretches along Lake Tahoe’s picturesque western edge, where visitors can immerse themselves in a gorgeous blend of towering forests, meandering streams, and a long stretch of sparkling lakeshore. The park is renowned for its natural serenity, highlighted by forested landscapes and the soothing presence of General Creek- creating a perfect backdrop for outdoor adventure and peaceful relaxation. Absolutely breathtaking! The shoreline at Sugar Pine Point State Park offers some of the clearest water and most serene views on all of Lake Tahoe. Whether you’re enjoying a quiet morning walk, fishing from the pier, or simply dipping your toes in the cool water, it feels like a private paradise

This was the view spot on the highway. There was plenty of camping spots available, some cool historic buildings they had available for tours, great dock, great trail, and amazing water. We loved seeing the blue, clear, and cold water. Highly recommend this viewing spot!

The park is very much worth visiting - tours of Pinehurst lodge, great picnic areas (with a bear visitor!), clean bathrooms, a gorgeous walk along the water featuring huge sequoias, a large dock, and families of geese. We saw boat rentals available at the boat house but it appears you could also bring your own? No easy ramp or put in spot that we saw but the Mountain View’s from here are outstanding. In the evening there is no sun which made for a chilly visit on a 65 degree day. We only spent 3 hours here but would’ve stayed longer had we visited when the lodge was open - it looks so beautiful!!

Sugar Pine Point is a California State Park beach and one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two-miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests and was the summer home for generations of the Washoe Native Americans. It's about a quarter mile walk from the parking lot to the lakefront. Walk south along the shoreline from the pier to the railroad tracks that lead into the lake.

Nice place for a hike. We walked to lily pond. Easy walk fairly level. Nice sign along the way referring to Olympic winter games of 1960. Probably good to do on snowshoes with fresher snow. But today it was very easy to do on normal hiking shoes. There are multiple signs and shortcuts.

Mansion architecture is really beautiful! Looks like one of the oldest mansion. Again, the beach access is very easy and when we visited the number of people were very less when compared to the other places of the tahoe! This place have lot of parking places thats why I rate this place is better then all other south lake tahoe places!
