If I could give zero stars, I would. We paid $365 for one night (including a bogus $42 “resort fee”) for two Queens and this place was nothing but a filthy, outdated dump. Dirt on the shower walls, a dirty hotel towel left on our patio, a broken phone with the wrong room number on it, rock-hard spring mattresses that left us unable to sleep & gave us severe back pain, dirty Kurig, and a loud A/C that made it impossible to sleep. Worst of all, the shower was dangerous—the water wouldn’t regulate and kept surging scalding hot, burning our son. Completely unacceptable and unsafe. On top of that, hallways were hotter/humid than outside, and NO elevators. You have to drag your luggage down two flights of narrow stairs just to get to a “ground-floor” room. The only positives were polite front desk staff and beach access, but that doesn’t even come close to making up for how bad this overpriced place is. This is nothing but a run-down, overpriced dump pretending to be a resort. Motel 6 would have been cleaner, safer, and far more comfortable. Do not recommend. Avoid this hotel at all costs.

I have wanted to stay here for years. What a beautiful view and it looked so nice. outside trash cans were full.security door was broke. We checked in room was dated and not too clean I dusted my own room. That’s bad. The balcony I had so looked forward to was next to a main air conditioner and my loud air conditioner so we couldn’t sit outside. Air in the room was ridiculous loud. The topper was this morning the shower is either hot or cold to regulate it I had to put it at a trickle. I was so disappointed and the price was ridiculous.

Online this hotel looks very good, that's the rooms are very cramped. For $450 this room was horrible. The mattresses are old and saggy. There was no quality in that. The bedroom was small and cramped. The sliding door squeaked and sounded like the rollers, had been gone for about five years. There was no screen on the door so you couldn't open the sliding door. The AC unit was loud and kept kicking off and on the entire night would not maintain a steady temperature. No matter what setting you, put it on. When taking a shower, the hot water fluctuates all over the place from hot to cold. It's a medium in between about every 10 or 15 seconds. The plumbing is horrible. The water is chlorinated heavily. Basically, we will never stay there again.

I read the reviews and booked anyway. To say this place is dated is an under statement. It felt like the place needs to be torn down. The key cards regularly didn't work at different locations and doors. No towels at the pool. The hottub was so low it barely filtered. The weight machine is broken. The sauna is broken. The drapes were full of holes. The sliding glass door was at once double paned but must have broken and wasn't repaired so there is just raw glass around the rim. However the staff was nice and the beds were comfy. The location is also great. It was awesome to be able to walk right out to beach and nice to walk over to bridge stores. Not worth the $350 we paid!

This hotel is in serious need of an upgrade. If I had read the google reviews before I booked I never would have.... Especially for nearly $300 a night.... Our first room the heater did not work properly, the shower head was falling off, the furniture was banged up & old, the mini fridge was not cold, the lamp on the desk was falling apart & the beds were uncomfortable. When I called the front desk about the heater the gal was rude. She showed up w/ a portable heater in tow so she obviously knew the heater was a problem. We ended up moving to a different room that wasn't in quite as bad of shape, but still not great by any stretch of the imagination..... No elevator in a 3 story bldg, no vending or ice machines anywhere but the 1st floor, all walls were in desperate need of fresh paint. I read somewhere that the owner is planning to tear it down so has no plans to do any upgrades. I don't know if restaurant is even operating & wasn't about to find out.... The lake front location was the only good part & was the reason I booked there in the first place. Was trying to get some respite from cancer treatment......

This hotel is in a great location, but definitely needs updated! I've stayed in a lot of BW's and this one definitely needs a make over. Everything is old and worn, beds are very low, can still smell smoke on the walls and closet, furniture is worn, a lot of things in the bathroom need fixed. Very hard to move luggage, no elevator with 3 floors, a door in the middle of the stairs that you have to try and open and go through with your luggage, and area outside rooms is very hot. This place could be a great place to stay because of the area it is in.

I do not even know where to start!!! This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. It was so filthy beyond words filthy. This stay was a disaster. We came with a group for a birthday party, and we all requested rooms together. Did not happen. My husband has a bad leg, and they put us on the third floor and did not advise us there was no elevator. The rest of our party was on the first floor. When we went into the room all the furniture was covered in dust. I had to wipe everything down before I could place my belonging down. The curtains where stained and falling down cobwebs where every were. When I opened the book in the room it was smeared with food and probably still is. My husband went to the front desk to tell them, and he was treated rude and brushed off. The keys for the room did not work and we had to go back to the front desk twice. Ok day two. Got a manager (Emily) She stated that she would move us to another room and give us a 10% discount. We had to move all are stuff down three flights of stairs. With a physical disability with no help from the staff. The new room was a touch better but not by much. There were ants crowing on the bathroom floor. chips of something white on the floor and it was sticky. It had not been swept or moped in some time is my guess. Was told when I made the reservation that I would be charged $15.00 for my dog's whole stay. At checkout I was charged an additional 45.00. All the staff was so rude I went up to ask a question and one of the staff that was working the front desk raised her voice at me and I was not being rude at all. This was a waste of money, and a gross stay came home with bug bites on my legs and arms. NEVER EVER STAY HERE!!! I was told the owner are going to tear the building down and build a new hotel and they will not put any money into it. With that being said I would not stay at the new hotel due to how misleading it all was!!! Would not have even left a one star but I had to so I could post!!

This hotel needs a little extra "love" towards the rooms. Outdated and could use some deep cleaning. I can't remember the last time I had a bedframe and not a box. It is a rather beautiful location though, and that made it worth it. They did not let us in our rooms early, made us wait till 3:30 p.m. good area. Shopping and restaurants close buy.

We have stayed at this hotel a few times and it is not the cleanest but is a great location so we give it more than it's fair share of chances. The last time we stayed about 2 years ago the hot tub didn't work and house keeping came into our room at 6 a.m. unannounced which is absolutely unacceptable and management didn't do a thing about it. This time we decided to give it 1 more chance and after we checked in we got ready for the hot tub and pool before we went out for dinner. First off we noticed the whole pool room smelled a little bit off but got in anyway. The hot tub was luke warm and the jets barely worked. As we sat there the smell of poop became unbearable and when we looked in the pool it was completely green and so cloudy you couldn't see the bottom. We decided we couldn't take it and rinsed off in the pool room showers and noticed the sauna wasn't working, big surprise there... we went back to our room to take a real shower and the rooms smelled of a massive amount of cheap carpet powder. We were so disgusted we decided to leave and just drive all the way home without dinner because we were so nauseated from the smell. Never again and I am so disappointed in Best Western for allowing this awesome location to rot away in a pile of poo.

Run down rooms amd it was not clean. dust on furniture. had to request new mattress pad amd bottom sheer as mattress pad had what looked like poo streaks on the sides and the bottom skeet did bot fit. one person was tjere for the entire hotel after 3:00 pm. she was great. but she had to get 4 different bottom sheets before one would fit.
