Ekstrom's Stage Station

I had the most wonderful experience at Ekstrom's Stage Station Campground. It is incredibly peaceful here - best sleep I’ve had in awhile. The atmosphere is top notch. Grounds and facilities clean. Hot shower. Clean water. Laundry. Library. Poo bags for my dog. Store, ice and gas nearby. Amazing views nestled in nature. But what really made this stay for me was the staff and owners - they are such beautiful people. Pat, the camp host went above and beyond. I felt so well taken care of while camping. I would give 10 stars if I could. Truly one of the best camping experiences I have ever had. You will not regret booking this campsite. I could keep raving - but I should probably cut this short. Just know, I am beyond impressed with this campground and staff, words don’t do justice.

Our stay here has been amazing, the campsites are clean, the bathrooms are clean the grounds are well kept. Pat the camp host does an amazing job he's always there to help if you need it. He's kind and mindful and very respectful. We definitely will come back here next year! Thanks Pat

Very quiet and campground host Mike was friendly. Water issues and campsite maintenance kept me from giving higher score. Most campgrounds at least rake up pine needles from around fire pit and clean pit out. None of that was done. Fire pit was between two trees within two feet of either side making it a tight fit even though there was plenty of room to move it out into open. No idea why there’s three hours between checkout and check in if nothing is going to be done to get site ready for next guest. Having said that, we’ll probably stay again next yr.

Stayed twice actually. First time to fish lower rock creek then came back because I like it so much. The place is perfectly located, clean, quiet and outstanding run. Check in was a breeze as Pat (the manager) met me at the entrance. There is nothing about the place I would change. Also, Pat is an absolutely wonderful host!! He was attentive, friendly and willing to help in any way possible. I've never been so welcomed at a campground before and It was all because of Pat. Looking forward to at least one more stay here next year on our road trip from the east coast. Thanks so much Pat!

Beautiful location, and expert accommodations! We didn’t have a spot that had a fire pit but they brought us a fire pit so we could make dinner! If I could give more than five stars I would! Would recommend to anyone! Will be back again!

Both camp hosts were helpful and friendly. Beautiful scenery around a quiet campground. Bath houses very clean! Laundry area very clean! B5 was a beautiful large site. Walk to Valley of the Moon fishing area under 2 miles. A small park with walking trails about 1/4 mile away. We would have stayed longer. Unfortunately, in June, the campground was found to have E. coli in their water system, so they put in a temporary chlorine fix. when we were camping in the end of July, the water was deemed over chlorinated and still not fit to drink or wash dishes with. The campground did provide fresh drinking water. The negative was that the campground management did not notify me of this until the morning of our arrival. I was notified by phone and by email, that their water system was still under a health advisory.. as all of this began in June and was reevaluated at the end of June, it would’ve been nice to have been notified about this in time to make alternate reservations if that’s what we decided to do.

Wow! Ekstrom's is an awesome campground and the tiny house a hidden gem. I stayed in the tiny house for two weeks, and it was a dream personal retreat The tiny house is brand new, clean, and extremely well made. The employees are kind and fun to be around. The natural environment is amazing, with Creek access for a long walk and a quick 20 min drive to downtown Missoula. It's the best of all worlds and I can't wait to return again soon. Thank you Peter, Ellis, Pat, and Georgia!

This is my new favorite campground. The Camp host Pat is a gem himself. It’s nice to see people truly happy and social. His hospitality and kindness was greatly appreciated. As far as the campground it’s so clean and beautiful! The showers are such a huge perk. We ended up in b14 and Wow. Beautiful huge site with the creek and sunsetting right behind the mountains behind us. we’re super close to the bathrooms without having the commotion that typically comes with being by a bathroom. This is one of the quietest most peaceful campgrounds I’ve been at. I will definitely be coming back.

The campground is absolutely STUNNING. The campground is absolutely peaceful, well taken care of and it has a very modern/western vibe. It has really clean showers, bathrooms and even a laundry room. But what really made this campground one of the best I have ever been to is the camp host Pat. Pat is an extremely bubbly, knowledgeable camp host. He gave us tips and tricks to navigating the area and walked us to our campsite. Campground 10/10 Views 10/10 Atmosphere 10/10 Camp host pat 100000/10
