Great RV park on a lovely creek! We stayed in spot 22 but I would recommend staying anywhere on the creek. The other sites are lovely but I love any site with water. There are huge old trees that they kept when making the park. We saw and heard lots of birds, turtles and even an otter!!! Saturday night they had live music and a food truck that was wonderful! Check their events page.

All staff was friendly and helpful. Loved the campground in all aspects. Great amenities, well kept. Our site was a little close to the neighbors, with having pets.. but other than that all went well. We were there for like 12 nights..we would definitely recommend!!

We had a great experience at this RV park. The grounds and amenities are very clean and well cared for. You can tell they take pride in keeping the park beautiful and clean. The mature trees make the place feel comfortable. The creek and the dam were a bonus. I LOVED that the park is dog friendly and they have 2 dog parks. It’s quiet and tucked away from loud roads but easy to get back to the highway if you’re passing through. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. We highly recommend this park to anyone.

We stayed three nights and really enjoyed ourselves! We had chosen an upgraded spot along the creek. It had a wide and long concrete pad with plenty of room for our 40' coach and our SUV. The site included a picnic table and fire ring. The people we dealt with were very friendly and helpful, offering suggestions on things to do in the area. The owners have obviously been working on upgrading and improving the campground, adding concrete pads at more sites and plans to add pergolas at a few more. We weren't there over a weekend, but did see a posting for the coming weekend where they were having a group come in to provide music and a food truck. There's a nice play area for kids and a nice, well maintained swimming pool. There are also two large, fenced, off-leash play areas for dogs (which ours thoroughly enjoyed!). Some people have commented that the sites are pretty close together. We did not find that to be the case with our site, and most of the sites around the outer perimeter seemed well-spaced. Some of the inner sites (not all, though), though, were closer together. Not a problem if you're only passing through and want a site for a night. But if you're staying several nights, I would recommend one of the perimeter sites. Overall, I would definitely give Elkhorn Creek two thumbs up.

Great location in the Heat of Bourbon Country. Very quiet and well maintained RV Park. One of the nicest and cleanest bathhouses I’ve seen in a long time. Our site was perfectly level. There seem to be a number of permanent or long time residents, but most of those sites are well maintained. There is a nice pool and playground which we didn’t use. It did rain a lot the three nights we stayed, but the creek stayed in its place and didn’t rise much. 10 minutes to Buffalo Trace Distillery. Nothing fancy here, but friendly staff, clean and well maintained grounds. We’ll be back.
