Great RV park on a lovely creek! We stayed in spot 22 but I would recommend staying anywhere on the creek. The other sites are lovely but I love any site with water. There are huge old trees that they kept when making the park. We saw and heard lots of birds, turtles and even an otter!!! Saturday night they had live music and a food truck that was wonderful! Check their events page.

All staff was friendly and helpful. Loved the campground in all aspects. Great amenities, well kept. Our site was a little close to the neighbors, with having pets.. but other than that all went well. We were there for like 12 nights..we would definitely recommend!!

We had a great experience at this RV park. The grounds and amenities are very clean and well cared for. You can tell they take pride in keeping the park beautiful and clean. The mature trees make the place feel comfortable. The creek and the dam were a bonus. I LOVED that the park is dog friendly and they have 2 dog parks. It’s quiet and tucked away from loud roads but easy to get back to the highway if you’re passing through. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. We highly recommend this park to anyone.

We stayed three nights and really enjoyed ourselves! We had chosen an upgraded spot along the creek. It had a wide and long concrete pad with plenty of room for our 40' coach and our SUV. The site included a picnic table and fire ring. The people we dealt with were very friendly and helpful, offering suggestions on things to do in the area. The owners have obviously been working on upgrading and improving the campground, adding concrete pads at more sites and plans to add pergolas at a few more. We weren't there over a weekend, but did see a posting for the coming weekend where they were having a group come in to provide music and a food truck. There's a nice play area for kids and a nice, well maintained swimming pool. There are also two large, fenced, off-leash play areas for dogs (which ours thoroughly enjoyed!). Some people have commented that the sites are pretty close together. We did not find that to be the case with our site, and most of the sites around the outer perimeter seemed well-spaced. Some of the inner sites (not all, though), though, were closer together. Not a problem if you're only passing through and want a site for a night. But if you're staying several nights, I would recommend one of the perimeter sites. Overall, I would definitely give Elkhorn Creek two thumbs up.

Great location in the Heat of Bourbon Country. Very quiet and well maintained RV Park. One of the nicest and cleanest bathhouses I’ve seen in a long time. Our site was perfectly level. There seem to be a number of permanent or long time residents, but most of those sites are well maintained. There is a nice pool and playground which we didn’t use. It did rain a lot the three nights we stayed, but the creek stayed in its place and didn’t rise much. 10 minutes to Buffalo Trace Distillery. Nothing fancy here, but friendly staff, clean and well maintained grounds. We’ll be back.

Camped here several times over the last 5 years. They are continuing to make improvements. Very nice and quiet place. Very convenient to Buffalo Trace and other distilleries.

We wanted a central location while making a short visit to some of the distilleries nearby. Elkhorn Creek RV park is perfectly located! And it is a great park! Brand new concrete pads along the creek with full hookups are not only long enough for big rigs but many are extra wide with plenty of space between sites. The park has all the amenities you would want. The staff we crossed paths with were always helpful and friendly. They take great pride in keeping the park clean and manicured. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return soon!

It's a great park to stay and here are the standouts: 1. many of the sites sit right on the creek 2. accessibility to Elkhorn creek for swimming, kayaks, canoes 3. the bath house is kept immaculate 4. close to amenities, but far enough away 5. they have just completely upgraded the property with new huge concrete pads that are incredible For pet parents: 1. doggie stations all over the park well stocked with bags and a trash can 2. the dog park is convenient & has both large and small areas 3. the field next to the park is an area where you can let your pet run free, but there are lots of Canada Geese nesting on the shores so be mindful of that if your dog tends to chase them 4. Propane fill station for convenience 5. Delivery room for Amazon, FedEX etc 6. Good maintenance people who fix things really quick if there's an issue 7. Office has some basic RV supplies, and other things Overall, it's a great park and I always enjoy staying there. I hope this helps.

Great place. Easy to get to. Quiet, plenty of room. Currently (March 2025) they are re-doing many of their pads and its going to be real nice. I actually wanted a fancy place to stay, because we been hitting State Parks hard, and this place tickled my fancy. Spot 84 is a large concrete pull in and it was what I was wanting. Thanks!

Elkhorn Creek RV park is a very nice place for long term rentals as well as vacationing. My hubby and I were there for the last 6 months. Clean, quiet and right in the middle of the Bourbon Trail. Steve and all the staff were very friendly, helpful and treat people with kindness and respect. The bath house is immaculately clean as well as the laundry. They have entertainment and food trucks on the weekends under the pavilion. We found the folks in the Frankfort area to be sure nice. Be sure to go to The Ark, area distilleries and buy some bourbon balls from Rebecca Ruth’s!

Pleasant campsite on water, which was lovely. Not many trees though it was early in the season. Biggest issue was ingress/egress was a bit tight. If you have a big rig watch out.

This is a nice campground that includes some great amenities at a fair price. The grounds are kept clean and the playground equipment was well taken care of. If you’re in the area I would recommend this place. If you’re planing a trip, downtown Frankfort and other activities are only about a 10 minute drive.

I cannot speak highly enough of the warm welcome I received from the staff at the campground. Best bath house I've ever seen at any campground or RV park. The grounds are great and very easy to navigate at night with the large stones placed by each row of camping spots.

Great park with pleasant views. Fairly level spaces and room between sites. We did not use the public restrooms so we cannot comment on them. Very quiet and peaceful setting. Great place to get away.

Always in good order; folks need to clean up after their dogs.
