Nice place to park by the ocean and walk on the beach. There is a bike trail next to it also.

My favorite place in Ventura to take a walk on the beach minus all the crowds. Perfect for catching the sunset..

This place is an amazing place to camp when they open these camping spots under the bridge in about a year after restoration of the area according to public works

Easily accessed from Hwy 101 and, course, the PCH. Laid back spot, perfect for an impromptu stop or an all-day family outing. Whether you're a single person, a couple, a group of friends, or a whole family..... You won't be disappointed by the natural wonders of this large beach. I was there several days in a row (day use only) and never felt crowded. No services or hookups, just parking, the beach, the squirrels and seagulls, and of course the Pacific Ocean.

Stopped by here to support state parks and enjoy the west coast beach. I arrived near the end of the day and the friendly ranger let me know to use the parking app for an hourly pay option, rather than the entire day use fee, so that was quite nice. I enjoyed my time, stayed about 2 hours. It was a clean beach, not very populated, and I was able to hop up on some riprap and just enjoy the beach for a while.

You could drive almost onto the beach! If you could find a better place for a sunset, I'd like to know where it is!

Good beach, kind of hard to get down to sand unless you find the right spot. Lots of parking

It’s pretty cool there. 1st time couldn’t find how to get on the beach

The sites are always refreshing. The portapotty, well, enough said. It is usually full and smelly. But not very many places where you can pull up and look straight out at the beach.

Nice place to catch the sunset while parked directly facing the sun. At this particular time there weren’t many RV’s parked here as usually is the case. We enjoyed eating our Chipotle here in the car, it was windy this day and we would have enjoyed eating it besides the car with our table and chairs or on the beach which was a walk away across some barrier rocks. Highly recommended as one of many beautiful places to park along California’s Coastline.

Amazing place to enjoy the fresh air and ocean smell. People who frequent here are always nice and low key. Plenty of room to hangout. Benches. Grassy areas to picnic. Ride your bike. Bring a surf board. Throw a ball or fly a kite. We visit often when we are in town. A favorite for us.

Primitive camping. If you don't bring it you don't get it. Not so much as even a hose. And one out house it could be as much as two miles away depending on where you camp. You must be 100% completely self-contained

Sometimes the big waves come in depending on the weather. you get a lot of surfers. parking can get difficult, and as far as the ocean there are dolphins that swim up-and-down the beach. and there's a lot of fishermen, they do catch fish. It has a nice and relaxing feel to it . no loud music. But there are a lot of people, teenagers, families, older folks that's nice.

Rocky but great for exploring! Most campers are friendly. You must be self contained to camp here. There are about 5/6 porta pottys by the check in gate. Very friendly and informative staff. No reservations during off season otherwise reservations are required in May. You can have your pets but they must be leashed. They are not allowed on the beach but still some let their dogs run on the beach. I have seen a ranger give someone a ticket for letting their pup run loose on the beach.
